Vanarama Issues

The thing is if Vanarama was honest from the start and worked with its customers many would have switched vehicles and stayed with Vanarama but now customers are just holding out for Vanarama to cancel so they can leave charge free.

My views on it

Chances of getting what I ordered at the price I ordered it at 1%

Chances getting what I ordered but at a 30-40% a month hike in price 40%

Chances of getting nothing from Vanarama after being strung along for months 59%

Due to the total lack of confidence in Vanarama if they even offered me a vehicle with immediate delivery but at a discounted rate due to the issues I'm not even sure I would take the offer.

I think Vanarama could have helped and appeased its customers so much better over the past 12 months.

I contacted ZenAuto and they told me that my order is absolutely fine and I will get it end of December.

Hi. Good to hear. I'm currently driving a Toyota hybrid foc. from Zen until my car has been "fixed" via recall. I would expect mine to arrive ASAP simply because of the cost to Zen of the hire car.

That’s pretty awesome they do that for you! Most companies wouldn’t like the company that this is all about.
 
Maybe someone from Zen can come over and talk to Vanarama and teach them.

At the moment Vanarama have to be one if the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Any decent company would have just pulled the plug on all the orders and allowed customers to leave or reorder another vehicle without the fear of being charged for Vanaramas incompetence.

They aren't getting a penny from me for the charger with the amount they have cost me in time and inconvenience with delays. If I cancel because I find something else they can take me to court if they want. I'd like to see a judge think it's reasonable for them to charge me anything.
 
Has anyone contacted a lawyer or the ombudsman man or anything to see what they say? Just going to be the same hassle coming up again in May. Fact.
 
To be honest the amount it will cost Vanarama and bad press, they won't have the nerve or bottle to pursue payments. They will give it the big un and push their luck.

So any day now I would expect a call to say my car is being built - based on a 12 week wait from build slot to delivery day and it taking us to April as per the info they provided us 3 months ago (which came direct from mg they said)

Tick tock.
 
There will be no update. No build date. No nothing.

Then come April it will be the same as before, pay the extra 80 a month for 3 year or pay for the charger.

Or the cars won't ever exist so it will then be take an alternative vehicle from us at whatever price it is, and if not then pay for the charger.

According to the press. Waiting times for EV cars are at an all time low. Average wait time is now 28 weeks. However; in Vanaramas case it's more like 28 years.
 
I had actually forgot I was waiting for this car for a time then until I got the obligatory email.
But something my wife said to me(It was gonna be her car)is what has the grant got to do with her, Nowhere did it say that the the price of the lease was based on a government grant, We new nothing about any EV grant, I haven't seen it written anywhere that the price quoted is based on UK government EV grant.

Has anyone got a copy of there lease deal or contract they can put up showing the line were it says price based on UK government grant, Cos I don't have one.

This is exactly my view. There was never any mention of any grant until Vanarama tried to charge extra for the lease, or make us pay for the charger (lose/lose).
