MG4 wipers

I’m not normally known for my gentle touch in these matters. Gave it a mighty push with several pleading shouts of “get in there you vicious b****ard” for good measure but no dice. I’ve ordered another set from Euro Car Parts which I’ll collect tonight. I’m hoping that myself and a person hopefully in overalls will be able to resolve the situation. Will report back.
 
Mystery solved. I picked up a new set at Euro Car Parts, same fittings as the Amazon ones. The chap at the counter Said he was sure they would fit so I tried again. They did need a lot more force to put them in vs the originals but they definitely fit 👍. What confused me was that the originals come in and out so easily but got there in the end.

You could have always welded them on, that never fails.
 
For some strange reason my wipers wont go into the service position! washed car few weeks ago no problem then, I power off in infotainment screen get a message saying can only do in Park but car is in park, so press power off and it goes off, but noticed radio still playing but screen is blank. hold down wiper stalk within 20sec Nothing, repeat still not working any idea's

Don’t hold it down. Push down and release.
 
I haven't got mine yet to check, but could a piece of rubber be stuck under the edge of the bonnet, a little way in so it's not obvious, just where the wiper arms would hit so preventing the paint being damaged?

When I was researching the car last year these came up as an option

Please check this for yourself, it may be wrong but it was suggested by an MG4 owner at the time.
