Hello,

I'm looking into buying a used (pre-facelift) MG5 EV and am looking into the standard range vs the long range model.

On parkers/autotrader etc I'm seeing a smaller boot size quoted for the long range model: 464l vs 578l for the standard range . I'm wondering if the sizes are indeed different or if they have just been measured differently. Any help here would be much appreciated as that is quite a difference in capacity!

About the roof rails, I understand all the long range models have the 75kg max capacity. I was wondering if the any of the later standard range models had this 75kg allowance, or if they are all the 35kg.

Thanks,
Jamie

Same boot - different measurement
LR has split boot and all the safety tech.

SR - roof rails rated at 35kg
LR - roof rails rated at 75kg
Same rails, just type approval is different.

The LR has a height adjustable boot floor (pulls out and reslots in to different notch). Identical size to the SR.

LR boot can take a tumble dryer with out seats folded down , just unlatched to get it in then push seat back and latch

Hi
If you can afford it go for the LR as it has all the toys and it has a 2 position boot floor that can be raised or lowered to your taste
I have mine set at the highest position as I have a full size spare wheel in my boot under the floor
Also the LR boot floor is a lot stronger than the SR which is very flimsy
😃👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Interesting, I thought the idea of VTL was that you took the electricity to the appliance, but I guess so long as you crack a window open you can run it in the car... :)
