MG ZS EV IN IRELAND ....... How is it going?

Android Auto is flaky enough. Sometimes I've to plug in and out a few times. But I did upgrade the cable so that helped.

I also just bought a little box that plugs in so I can watch Netflix on the infotainment! Also lets you do wireless Android auto and that seems to work okay.


There seems to be no voice controls for the car. But If I have android auto turned on the Voice control button does work to control that. But I can't for example open the sunroof.

What box did you get that lets you do wireless Android Android? Would you recommend it?
 
Hi All,
Finally got the good news. Received a call from MG Ireland to say that the car is on a boat on its way to me and there is definitely one for me as its been allocated by MG Ireland, and its the same spec that I ordered. I emailed the dealer and it was confirmed as well, due in mid\late November. Home charger application has started. Its part of the deal with the car for a free charger, you pay the installer for the charger and then claim it back from the SEAI.

Now I just need to find out, if the car arrives in late November, probably take a week or two (or three) to get from port to dealer? then there is no point getting the car registered as 222 as this would put it into December. Need to talk to the dealer and see if they can hold it and register it as a 231 and i can collect 1st available day in January 23! I cant see it being a problem and i dont mind waiting another month if it means a 231 reg.

Was also out today at the Ideal Homes Show in RDS and MG were on display (from Brian Reynolds Drogheda), had an MG ZS EV and also the MG4. The MG4 is a great looking car, its the first time I've seen one in person, and if I didnt have the ZS confirmed then I'd probably consider changing. We also took a look at the GWM Ora Cat, they had 2 cars on display there as well, the funky cat and the GT (Due out in 23 sometime), was also very impressed with them, look like a quality build, great spec and its a much bigger car in person, about the size of a new Clio, if not slightly bigger.

So good news... car is in the dealers and Im collecting it on Friday. I just cant believe that its hear, just dosnt feel real. Psychologically I still feel like its not going to happen, I'll not believe it until I have it sitting in the driveway. Just over a year wait and I really hope its worth it. I'll post up a photo when its collected. Thanks all.

Collected it this morning and have just spent the day sitting in it playing! Im like a child, lol.

Hi Congrats on the car. Can I ask when did you order it. I ordered mine last march and still waiting. They told me before Xmas that I was number 140 in the queue and might have it in q1 this year.
 
Hi Guys .... Heres a thought ........ as the zs ev exclusive is not available anymore with the sunroof etc.
What would be the valuation of a 222 reg with 10,000 kms on it?

The second hand market has shifted a great deal in the last few months, that’s for sure !.
I think it would have been worth more then, than now I guess ?.
If the sky roof was high on your wish list before it was dropped, then to somebody who really wants that feature, you could be in luck when selling it on !.
Increasing the price on the Trophy ZS EV LR facelift and removing the sky roof at almost the same time, would have been a total deal breaker for me.
Totally on a personal basis, when MG announced they where removing this feature, I did consider how this would positively affect the price of my car in the future.
 
Got conformation that I'll have my car in june
