Just changed from old SR MG5 to MG5 Trophy. Zappi set to Eco+ for timer 00.30 to 04.30. Car timer definitely OFF.
Car did not charge stating
" Charge Delayed"
Any ideas please?

What time did you plug in? Could be a cutoff of six hours or similar. There are some compatibility settings to play with which might help.

I have LR MG5 from April 2022 with Zappi and eco+ timer set for 00,30 and 04.30 but the timer function does not work. I connect the cable then stop the charge with the phone. I need to be awake at 00.30 to restart and at 04.30 to restop. Fortunately, we are up at those times (as you can see).

Have you got a screen shot of your settings?

Yes, here are a few and a copy of last night's charge on the app.
It's a 22kW Zappi fed from a new 3-phase board. I have 7.4 kW of PV connected to a 1-phase consumer unit, which is fed from the 3-phase board. A PV CT is not yet connected to the Zappi.

I have the Zappi charger and I thought eco+ was only used during the day to make use of electricity generated by your panels and not use grid power.
Am I wrong?

I can see you have the default mode as Fast and the app showing eco.
I have both set to eco+.

Our May 2022 LR has regularly had issues with not charging from our zapping. This week twice it has taken 3+ goes to get a charge going ad the " charge delay" shows or the self test of the zappy does not pass.
I believe it is a contact issue at the charge point.
We had the software updated because of the infotainment not accepting phone- it has behaved better since September 22.
But seems wet and or cold may be affecting the contact continuity.
Note our drive is on a 10 degree backward slope, this also may be ideal for moisture feeding into contacts- would admit also a couple of time the car has been charging with rain not being noticed till too late( it is impossible unless you have a useable garage for UK owners to not occasionally get caught out here)
The contact fix is more insertions of charge lead always works manually.
But in auto charge mode if same anomaly, you will not get a charge.
Also we are lik3ly to be doing less than 4000 miles per year, so no too many occasions for charge contacts to " wipe" clean when interfacing

Hi Coady sorry this could be a long one sorry, I only came across this thread late last night and I can see your have a problem with the Zappi well I have look at the pictures from kia456 above and the screens in mine are the same so his bottom picture of the Zappi app on a phone I think.

You will see the Charging mode it is set to Eco so in that mode the car should start charging from the grid at around 1.3 or 1.4 kw about 3/4 minutes after it’s plugged in could be more kws if you have solar or a wind generator, Doesn’t matter, you will see this on the app and on the screen in the Zappi.
Now go to the Zappi app and the blue bar will be under manual which is where it should be at this point so now tap on schedule as in the bottom picture again Zappi will still continue to charge in Eco at 1.3 kw and the blue bar will move to underneath schedule

So now just to do a test lets say it mid day 12:00 noon it doesn’t really matter what time it s but I will use 12:00 for now, the car is plugged into the Zappi and Charing now lower down in the app page is the Boost timer settings and a grid will pop up with days on the left and hours across the top, at the bottom on the right hand side there is a + inside a circle, tap on that and 2 timers will pop up one for start on the left and one for Duration on the Right see picture.

So on the start timer set that to 30 mins or on hour from what ever your time is now and then set the duration for 15 or 30 minutes up to you and click OK .

The red box on the RHS of the graph is the currant time with duration set in blue.
00:45 minutes

Now Zappi will continue to charge at 1.3 until the time you have set is reach then it will go into Boost mode and the charge rate will increase to 7.2 KW and will continue like that until the duration time you set 15 or 30 minutes you set has past.
Ok test over now select Eco + Zappi will not pull anything from the grid until your set time then go back back to the timers and set what times you want, 4 hours if on Octopus Go then set the the start timer to 00:30 and the duration timer to 04:00 and chose which days you want this to happen That will give you 4 hours at 7.2 kws and then go back to Eco +. Pulling nothing from the grid.
I could show this to you in 5 minutes but to write it down with a few edits takes a while longer if you need anymore help just ask
Les

Spent hours trying various time settings but still getting "charge delayed". Zappi concluded a fault with the charger ( I wasn't convinced), and they sent and installed a brand new Zappi ( no hub needed). Could then do immediate fast charge but same problem with ECO+ and timer. About one week ago thought I would try night charge again and lo and behold, it worked, and has done ever since. A complete mystery. Now delighted with the new MG5, having done over 800 miles already.

Thanks, I'll try that setting tonight.
Tried that setting. Looked good initially, showing 'waiting for surplus' but after a few minutes starting drawing 7.2kW so 'scheduled' not yet working.
There might be an issue with the CT clamps? I've checked 3 clamps (3 phase) are on the feeds, not the neutral. A PV clamp is not yet installed on the inverter feed but there is a green unused cable in the hub and I'll connect that later this week. I'll play with the settings and post a full set after I get it right.View attachment 14713View attachment 14714
