ZS EV Trophy Connect - Maintain vehicle soon - warning light

Update installed today.

Dealer expected it to take 1.5 hours, ended up taking 4.

Appears the issue was the dashboard update took a lot longer than anticipated as it was a large file apparently.

Anyway, car all updated, throttle feels slightly more responsive in Normal mode.

However I did lose the ability to use Charging Management in the iSmart app after the update, had to unbind and rebind the car to restore access.

Car also required the initial activation after the update, even though it had already been activated.

Was this done Free or did they charge?
 
It was done under warranty as it's a fault.

I'd imagine some dealerships may try to charge for it. Depends on the dealership I guess.

Hi! Came across this forum as I Googled the error message. We've only had our MG ZS Trophy Connect for a few weeks now. It's done approx 500 miles and now this error message is appearing. Has anyone heard anything from MG?
It's certainly been fixed for me. Update was released in late 2022, but in true MG fashion they didn't tell the dealer's.

Book the car in for the update with your dealer, it's a warranty update so shouldn't cost you anything.
 
Is there a reference number for this update? In case the dealer doesn't know about it, so we can say "search for update xxx"
 
If the dealer says there's not an update for your Trophy Connect then tell them to speak to MG Technical at Longbridge.
 
This has just happened to me. The car had it’s first service in the middle of December and the service warning light came back on on Monday.
 
It’s a known bug on some Gen2 cars.

Is that a gen1 car? If so garage may of forgot to reset

I've had the new ZS Trophy Connect for 12 days now, Wednesday I had a Warning light come up. Says "Maintain vehicle soon". Yellow triangle and exclamation mark stuck on corner of dash and full text warning on start up each time. I've done 900 miles so far.

Talking to 2 dealerships (one local and one where I bought it) they say it just needs to be brought in and turned off as it's some how thinking it needs a service when it shouldn't for a further 14k miles or so.

With the cars being new to the dealerships , they were keen to understand what it was and help for the future reference.

I'll keep you posted on what happens and if it is anything more than a simple warning error.

Anyone else had a similar warning?
Yes I’ve got the same vehicle. Its done 600miles and I am getting the same message. When I check the vehicle status in the menu system, it says maintenance is not due until 15000 miles.
 
So the service maintanance light issue still continue in spite of the update. Is it correct ?? What happen if the car has really service issue ? How will the consumer will understand the real problem on the car while this fake service light seems

Not heard any service light on issues with R22 software on headunit
If car has a problem there is a separate fault message
 
Not had the service warning light since the R22 update.

If you've got the service light after 600 miles on with the update, your cars either not been fully updated (it's a two stage process apparently) or it's got a genuine issue.

It took them a week to get the information on what to do and they updated the software. Again about two weeks later the light came on. I went in again after a month for them to supposedly update the software again but surprise surprise the light has come on again!

Which software update version should I be asking for?

What Software have you got, they should have done the latest, which I believe is R22. I did have the same issue but the update fixed it, in November, I think
