MG ZS EV 80% charge distance

What is HVAC,and how do you turn it off!
It's the air con system. Just make sure no buttons are orange below the infotainment system.

Sounds to me like you've got a SR and not a LR. I'm getting 220 miles at 80% charge at the moment with 3.7Kwh per mile reported on the accumulated journey data.

HVAC is heater and air conditioning etc. If this is on the car take this as extra load on the battery so reduces the GOM.
Hi
Thanks for replying.
To be honest if you have to start not using your ac or turning the heating down etc etc then the car is not fit for purpose,if I can’t be warm in my car as well as the now ridicules kWh fast charging price(not the cars fault) certainly not waiting over a hour to charge my car on a long journey so rapid charge is the only option.
Also the poor mileage range compared to mg acclaimed range.
I was hoping 190 miles at least on 80%.
the only saving is the home charging for local journeys!!

At the moment with different temperatures I get between 198-210miles on my LR.

Your reported 149 miles on 80% charge does sound like something isn't right with your battery pack. What miles per kWh is the car reporting?

Hi
Reset after last charge to 80% and it said 200 so happier now.around 3.0 kWh .just did a big trip to llanberis mountaineering, full charge,172 miles 2C .
Car said 261 this morning but dropped to 130 on arrival (86 miles) mostly in eco mode so was a bit worried on returning, eco again 50-70 mph got home with 20% left 30 miles range so about 202 miles on 100% (3.0 kWh) which not to good, would have been minimum 70mph in diesel.
Going to try charging car in garage which has a radiator in and see if things change, otherwise it’s a Tesla model y !!

What’s 100% with balance!
FWIW, this is my routine:
I normally run the car from 80-90& to 20% battery level. At six weeks or so (as per MG's recommendation) on my home 7Kw charger I then do a full 100& charge followed by a battery 'balance or 'equalisation'; at this point charging slows to a trickle after 100% and in my case, always takes a further 105min to do the balance. When balancing (on a Mk1), the MG light stays solid then finally goes out once finished.

Why wait? Order the Tesla now, at least you will save some time when the inevitable realisation is made. It is, inevitability, Mr Anderson.

I'm fine driving in eco without the heating on that much. So it's fit for my purpose even if it might not be fit for purpose for others. I was getting 4.4 miles per kwh this week so it was definitely meeting MGs wltp range for me.

😂😂
Will check what model y drivers are really getting first!!,might be back to a diesel for a few years until technology improves !!
