Hi

During the recent sub-zero weather in the UK, my rear screen wash went inop. I placed this down to a weak wash mixture and frozen pipes leading to the rear.

However now that a strong mix has been applied and the overnight temperature is above zero, it is still u/s.

The pump pumps and front sprays. There is no obvious sign of flooding on the carpets or from inside the rear tailgate (there's a detectable panel.

Before I book it in at the dealer pleading warranty, is there anything obvious I can try. A search reveals nothing on this sub-forum, plenty for the 5.

ZS 2019 launch model.

This has happened to quite a few people
Look under the bonnet, back left corner, (drivers side UK) you see some hard brake pipes
Behind that there are the washer pipes, it's likely that one will have popped off. It's a one minute job to push it back in, but fiddly as heck due to access

I had the same problem pipe separated on a joiner very difficult to reconnect due to access so I cut a slot in two pieces of metal and slid over each side of connector and pushed them together job done.

I had the same problem but it coincided with a service so the garage fixed it. However, they said the rear nozzle was blocked. All ok now.

Confirmed. I have a leak as described in the front bay. I can’t work out the pipe work at the moment.

There you go. Pipe is detached per second photo. I’ve lost a pair of snape noise pliers in there. There’s the power steering elec connector in the way plus HV leads to the side. I suspect better success would be had with two very long pairs of slim forceps.

Is the detached pipe right below the brake fluid reservoir seen in the first photo ?.
The two pipes in the second photo, they are being feed brake fluid from that reservoir- yes?.
