Am I the only one who is getting constant "rear collision system unavailable" or "Front camera unavailable" continuously.

It is happening quite often since I had the latest service schedule update applied, faults and errors don't endure, also no noticeable pattern. I have cleaned both the front and rear camera and the windscreen camera is clear too, issues with auto-high beam staying on when cars are in front of me to has resulted in me having to turn it off on numerous occasions.

Anyone else had these issues? Seems this ZS is giving me some considerable jip lately.

Colder weather & condensation appears to bring on front camera fail bongs, auto headlight fail bongs & another I forget on my mk1.

Seems to retry & presumably reset itself during the course of the day as occasionally repeat warnings are issued, but usually sorts itself until the next cold day...

I did think this was potentially the cause, but it is the first vehicle that I have had that gives me this sort of issue with the assistive systems, its not the first car I have had with this tech, but the first to give me grief with it :ROFLMAO:

I've just started getting these errors on my 2022 Trophy LR. Sometimes clears itself while driving, sometimes it stays until I turn off. Doesn't seem to affect the driving but it's worrying nevertheless. I've not been back to the dealer since I got it in June so I have no idea what software mods it might have or have not.

Hi all, I've had these messages too lately, but today it said system fault, consult handbook. Looked at the online handbook, and it says go to a dealer asap!! Any suggestions for a fix or am I really going to have to take it in? Thanks

I have the same but use the demister and it soon clears. It is the front camera being blocked by ice or condensation. The car has been fantastic. This also happens on others makes.

Having a ZS EV myself (Mk2) Essence that what we call it here in OZ, the only issue I have is if I activate the "Drive Mode" before the READY prompt is displayed, I get a battery warning & sometimes the rear / front camera will not work. Being 35.C here on the 1/1/2023 cold and frost is not a problem  Happy new year !! from downunder

You have already welcomed in the new year down under - Happy New Year !.
We still have about 4 hours of 2022 still left in the UK yet.
Yeah - The boot up process does not like to be rushed in the ZS EV.
Wait for the READY light and the "bong" or it will complain 🤣.

i have been endlessly been taking mine to the garage with the exact same problems, and getting no where with it, garage said they cant find a fault and i am left to live with it, imo the high beam coming on at any moment by itself is a danger to other road users it constantly turns on when vehicles approach and i have to keep manually switching it off, i think sometimes that people think i am flashing them when i am not, i can see someone getting road rage with me, it is on and off like a im flashing costantly ...had enough of the vehicle now its giving me so much distress. And when i take it to garage they cant see all the problems i am having ..im sure they think im lieing, they said no one else has these problems!!!

Tried the auto high beam once and soon turned it off . . . it's useless and potentially dangerous if someone thinks you are flashing for them to turn in front of you etc.

It's not just that there's a lot thats not working on it ...forward collision is another one that's not working ...burning smell from the vent etc etc ....
I also get the smell of burning plastic from the vents when I have the heater on, I think thats mainly because I'm tight and don't put the heater on often enough to have burnt away any oil residue hahaha. Forward collision tends to not work if the cameras are dirty which happens a lot at this time of year, the one that baffles me is when my rear collision detection fails me which is done by the ultrasonic sensors and not the cameras... I am tempted to get rid, but nothing else in my price range unless I go back to ICE... the MG4 is even out of reach at the moment due to the decrease in second hand market for EV price wise and the stupidly high interest rate at the moment (I am on 4.9% and i'll be damned if I am going to go up to 8.9 or 9.9%). Might just say balls to it and trade in for a second hand ICE vehicle to have some fun with while fuel prices are low... especially if electricity prices go up again in April and August.

The 'Burning Plastic' smell is simply dust heating up that is sitting on the heating element in the cabin, it disappears after 30 seconds or so, if you put the fan on 'high' it goes even quicker. All cars that have electric heating elements are much the same. (I had an Austin mini van in the 60's that was the same).

Which is fair enough, but I'm not sure that explains why it does it intensely randomly even after driving for say 1 hour during which you've previously had the heating on...

I have not read any posts that say this is happening randomly, only at startup. Or maybe I missed them?
