Any late Nov/Early Dec orderers know where their car is yet?

Yes I heard yesterday that they had major issues following the merging of tow systems and as of yesterday dealers were still being told they might not have it all up and running until the end of Feb. They were tripping over themselves with cars they couldn't register for customers, but if @Wainw74 news about order tracking extends to other systems it's good news all round. Hopefully, when this integration of systems is completed this will be more transparent and dealers will be able to tell customers what is actually going on?

UPDATE: Sales systems were up and running when I took my car in for service 22 Jan

Hi all,

I ordered a Trophy in early December through Tusker (work Salary Sacrifice scheme) and started with late March as my estimated delivery date. That then changed to late April midway through December. I was just wondering if anyone who also ordered around that time has any further details on their order progress? As it’s all done through Tusker, I don’t have any direct contact with an MG dealer, so am on the lookout for any helpful info!

Obviously I know the ordering system has been down, and hopefully there’ll be more info coming soon, but it would be good to hear what people know!

Many thanks,
Daniel
Ordered SE Long Range via NHS salary sacrifice scheme around mid November.
Quoted 16 week , checked twice they kept saying February March now that February is almost gone we are looking into mid March as maximum for the 16 week mark. Otherwise there would be a case of delay. I was under the impression that MG promised appropriate adherence to delivery time.... anything has changed?

Hi
I'm new to this forum as from today. Drive a Nissan Leaf N-Connecta at the moment and put a deposit down in late November for a Red SE LR. Dealer called this morning and said the car will be ready in two weeks looking at there computer system that's up and running. Just to say cannot wait to own a MG4

Hi there, just giving an update to this thread.

I placed an order through Tusker (salary sacrifice), which got placed through Perry's Luton on 9th December. It's been at 'awaiting build slot' since then, showing estimated delivery of late April.

I just got off the phone with Perry's who told me it's 'on the sea' with an estimated dealer arrival date of March 20th.

Hopefully, this gives a little hope to those who are waiting.

Interesting. My order date through Tusker/Perry’s was also 9th Dec! Many thanks for the info. Is yours a Trophy?

You'll notice a big difference

I'm seriously considering ordering through my work salary sacrifice but the issues people have reported with oil leaks and being locked in the car etc have really made me think twice. I mean given the fact it would be a lease through work I guess any issues would be their responsibility to resolve so in that respect I'm probably worrying over nothing really. Obviously the gearbox oil leak issue hasn't put too many people off ordering , I should probably stop overthinking it and just get my order in

Still nothing “on the system” for me. Perry’s said it might be because they’re producing in batches, and that Orange Trophies may not have been what they’re churning out at this time.

I think that regardless of the route that you choose to get into an MG4 there are some common and Justified concerns to consider.
Are you going to be spending a lot of time taking your car back for frustrating rectification work?
Will MG look after you as a customer as they should?
When faults occur will they be swiftly and effectively rectified?
Is the overall quality of the MG4 such that it will be reliable over the time that you use it for, or will you constantly be taking it back for work to be completed?
Do you have sufficient confidence that your ownership experience will be satisfactory and meet your expectations?
I’m sure that there are more.
I’ll leave you to decide on the answers based on your opinions.

Is this a quiz for everyone 👍

I did think that as I was writing it! Ramblings.
