New MG4

What kind of diesel did you have that got you such low mpg for £150.
Your figures for your charging costs only work out at 334 miles a month.

Sorry I've reworked my figures I'm getting around 44mpg on a Mazda 6 estate working out each month around £100-£150 a month in fuel costs, i do around 700miles a month so intelligent octopus at 3p a mile I'm looking at £21 a month! The mg4 is rated to be equivalent to around 144mpg I believe. That's based on getting 220 miles from a charge can any trophy owners confirm real world range based on 20 mile commute a day on rural roads?

With the figures that you have quoted it is indeed a "no brainer" in our case the savings are much more modest, but we are looking at the long term, the MG4 is a really cost effective entry level. The next 5 years will see many refinements and improvements so in our position as early adopters we will be well on the ladder when it is time to get the next one.
I know you were given a delivery of 16 weeks as were we, however ours was ready to collect in 10 which was a very pleasant surprise. One tip, do buy a printed copy of the manual, money well spent, they are mentioned on this forum.

What kind of range have you been getting??

It is very hard to say, there are so many variables and we have not used the car for a long run yet, most we do is a 25 mile round trip. On that run it really depends on the weather, if it is very cold then it will use a far higher percentage of battery life than the 10% you would expect, it has used as much as 20% on one occasion. You can put the car away in the evening with 80% charge and it will show 210 miles, in the morning it will still have 80% but show only 180 miles range.

I’m intrigued by your ‘early adopter’ comment.
You can’t mean early adopter of EVs in general, so I’m assuming you mean early adopter of the 4.
Which then makes me think you’re already thinking of getting another 4 in 5 years.
Really..?
With the plethora of EVs coming you’re already decided it will be another 4?

The Gom is based on your pervious trips so resetting the trip counter can make it high. plus in the morning the battery is cold. if you have the fan or heater on then that cuts the GOM reading.
What does your m/kWh show?
