Any late Nov/Early Dec orderers know where their car is yet?

That's strange, I ordered mine from Tusker in early December. Tusker still shows 'Awaiting build slot', yet Perry's (who placed the order with MG), told me it's 'on the sea', due around March 20. No idea why Tusker status remains unchanged.

Perry's did say that Tusker takes order updates from the systems of individual dealers, so perhaps it's reliant on how frequently dealers update their orders.

What colour / version did you order early Dec if you don’t mind me asking?
 
I ordered mine end of Sep 22, still not got it so trying to patient. The dealers (sales teams) will tell you anything, ultimately they have recently had no clue what was going on, only now that the MG car tracking software update is complete do they have a better picture but it is a new system and nobody knows how to use it properly, compound the fact that in the UK the new plates are out and you have an omnishambles of a situation.

Also I was told that it came into the UK early Feb (tracked the ship as MG back then said it was at sea [Tarifa]) and now I am being stalled as it was first on the ship and last off, but the car park at Portbury is massive and I think that should not really affect the order of delivery.

Who am I to know stuff!!
 
Ordered a smurf Trophy in early November from Epsom MG and the latest I heard a while ago was April-ish sometime. No great rush here really as I’ll wait for more updates…perhaps there’ll be magic breather adapter 18 rev. 2 adj. theta available by then? Lane assists that work sometimes? Anything is possible if you can dream…
 
I ordered a Holborn Blue SE SR on 11th November, it arrived this week to the dealer, this is MG Acorn in Crewe. I'm collecting next Thursday, though I had a window of anytime next week really.

I asked what charger it came with, but he doesn't know. What is the cheapest type 2 charger now?
 
Check Amazon, or search online - there are many outlets selling them. (I got mine from Tesla ... a 3-phase 32A cable ... for £85, but that's no longer available via the Tesla app).
 
Ordered Camden Grey Trophy 25th October. First estimate was end of January 2023. Car arrived at Felixstowe on 22nd February (Tesla had booked loads of slots at Bristol Portbury apparently, hence change of port adding further delay). Due to arrive at dealers within next 2 weeks.

Mine had been saying "Build Slot Confirmed" for a while and then suddenly changed to "Released From Factory", hoping mines on the same boat as yours.

I'll probably contact my dealer (near Weston-super-mare) and see if they can provide a better update.

How are you getting these status updates ? Is there a tracker website somewhere ?

I know this is from an old chat but can you tell me how long approximately it took from showing "Released from Factory" to you getting the vehicle? The reason I ask this mine is showing that at the moment and is due to the dealer mid October according to my Tusker order page. Do you think it could arrive sooner than that. Also is Released from factory the last stage before - arrived with dealer or is there a stage prior to that. As I cant find the full stages on the internet. Thanks for your help

After Released from factory>At Sea (approx 2-3 weeks)>Off Load and Awaiting Initial Set Up (all the latest updates and pre Delivery Checks (approx 2 weeks)>Dispatch to Dealers and Pre Delivery Checks (approx 1 week). So mid end Oct sounds about right, hope this helps. If you check on AIS you can track the ship across the world, check when it is at sea and the ship that leaves China should be the one your car is on.

Mine still showed as released from factory until about two days before it was delivered. The Tusker portal is highly unreliable, though they definitely under-promise and over deliver in my experience. If you can speak direct to the dealer they have better information.

Have we also just had this exact conversation on FB? 🤣
 
Yes we have lol But some people here on the forum may not be in any FB group and the whole released from factory question was asked most recently here on this - hence why I asked here too. Good to hear Tusker are good at certain things the staff who already have vehicles from them have said the same.

Yes, but it seems from the follow on comments that is not always the case. The main reception area in the UK is Portbury Docks where the initial inspections are done, but I have noted that sometimes they do come into other ports (Southampton etc).
 
I heard back from the supplying dealer today my MG4 is currently somewhere and due to hit the UK on the 14th October (I am sure someone said it was 6 weeks on the boat so sounds like its not on the boat yet. @DelBoy Yes I had heard also that not all were landing at Portbury. So it seems it will be a early November delivery/collection window (As I am travelling the 1 1/2 to collect it from Bridgend as I only live in Somerset.
Wont be long until I am part of the club :)
