Indeed, but I see no mention of what the reduction will be from July. The government really should be announcing the figures already but as usual, the minister for transport will keep this under his hat until the day before implementation! EV sales will take a hit in the second half of the year as a result anyway but I bet they'll bounce back in 2024.

Yes, the grant is going no where at the moment. apparently it is decreasing slowly from July, but there's no info past that...i wouldnt expect any news on it, there's drones over the airport and poor eamonn can only deal with one thing at a time

It's a problem when the time factor of 3 to 4 months applies for booking a car and it's arrival date,is take into consideration, you could find that there is a chunk of money extra to pay if some of the ev grant is changed.

I got an email from Frank Keanes MG in Dublin. I ordered the Exclusive trim in October and they originally said that it’ll arrive for this month (March) but now it’s going to be another 6-10 weeks….

Yikes! My order went in on the 1st of December so I'm not getting a good feeling here.
Considering the issues with the cars and now it looks like there might be some sort of limitation on the motors then I'm getting more and more jittery about the purchase. TBH, I've been thinking of cancelling my order and going for a new Niro instead at this stage.

My order went in 2-3 days after the system was open for it. MG Ireland told me 5 days ago my car had a chassis number and will be in Ireland in 10 weeks. I believe I got a cancellation. You can email mg Ireland for the official detail and your dealer might have you ahead of that with cancellations. I was inches away from getting a used model 3 if it took any longer.

i ordered in September still waiting as MG send random colours and spec from Belgium to dealers

so wait is a lottery in Ireland 2 months to 6 months next ship is thames highway arriving wednesday

Quite a few cancelling and going with Borns etc so people will get bumped up.
