Bluetooth bug, pairing constantly

iPhone 13.
Same.. 13 Pro…

Worked for a week after the update. But now the longest it has stayed paired is 2 drives…. Shows on the phone in the list, but if I try connecting it just fails. The list of previously paired devices on the car is just blank, so it has totally forgotten the pairing.

Just a heads up, I contacted MG Denmark about my Luxury/Trophy running R24 and they mentioned this requires a full system update of the infotainment system and it will not be updated through FOTA, if/when they start using that.

After MG DK got my VIN they could see there was a service campaign to get it updated to R33 and I would need to contact my local dealer to get it done. Oddly enough the dealer could not see this campaign, only for two other systems, LKA and 12v battery, but they took note of it. Scheduled to get it fixed 4th of April.

I can't say, I'm just suggesting that the infotainment update may not be the solution.
Infotainment update to R33 didn't solve for me anyway.
I've also noted that apart from the duplicate pairs, it prompts to 'synchronise contacts' every time the screen changes between day and night mode. i.e. everytime I drive through a shadow

I have samsung and i know that feeling, it's frustrating. People with Redmi, Xiaomi and other chinese brands haven't problems with the bluetooth... As far as a know only some iPhones and Samsung.

I'm on a redmi note and it definitely has problems :D

I got Xiaomi and wife has OnePlus .. and we both have problems..
OK, I'm lost at sea here! :p Few guys in another forum said no problem with Redmi/Xiaomi on the SE. Or maybe could be the Android version on the phone as well?! The infotainment is Android 9.0

Yeah I'm sure there's some combination of software causing it.

Redmi/Xiaomi use their own flavour of android but it's based on 11.

Also I have an exclusive/trophy.

Mine used to work fine but now after R33 update on Trophy it randomly wants to pair when I start the car or sometimes not. R33 fixed some things but broke this. I must say I'm getting bored of the issues on the MG4. Randomly says SOS call feature error, the TPMS tyre pressure issue which has been fixed about 3 times now, and this Bluetooth issue. I doubt I'll buy an MG again

Yeah mine has this annoying Bluetooth random pairing issue. TBH it's the only issue I have apart from the sat nav screen freezing (also random). If they fixed those 2 minor things it would be pretty much perfect.

As I just mentioned in the software update thread, apparently there's some new releases since I got R33 applied to my car. Hopefully something to address this annoyingness
