👍🏻More Practical Rear View Mirror👍🏻

Hi all
I’ve been meaning to remove the interior rear view mirror for a bit now I thought it was a bit on the large side and even when it was put up in its highest position still restricted the view through the windscreen
As I had no need for an auto dipping rear view mirror (I have limo tint in the rear windows to keep the dogs cool in the summer) it made the job a bit easier so for a couple of quid from the scrapyard I bought a mirror out of a Ford ka and bolted it to the shroud around the camera
The field of vision is now a lot better as you can see from the photos below

I have some difficulty understanding what the problem is
Rear view mirror is absolutely fine in my MG5.
Are you exceptionally tall or something?

The shroud blocks way more of the view than the mirror.

Not really 5’10” but I have short legs and I have the seat in it’s highest position for a comfortable driving position so I am fairly close to the dash so the oem mirror was blocking a fair bit of visibility through the windscreen

I personally find this very useful. I have had to peer under it before now.

Yep I was constantly do the same thing that’s why I’ve done this mod

Whats so irritating is there was no need to design a mirror you can't move out the way.

What have you done with the power supply to the mirror, or am I being daft thinking there was a power supply for the mirror ?
