even my type r have problem with condensation in lights front and rear so it osquite a common problem

“Quite a common problem”
“Lots of cars” ( not you )
“Every car” ( not you )

So far I’ve seen MG4, polo, some Porsches and a type R ( which I think is a Honda )

Would you like a list of cars I’ve owned that haven’t done this?
It might take a while. 😆
I mean in the past 4 years alone I’ve had 6 cars myself, the wife has had 2 and the eldest daughter has had 4…

Oh right, clearly you have owned all the cars in the world and are the definitive expert and clearly a quick google doesn't show up a ton of examples (clue; there are people out there moaning about most makes).

This is a well known issue across the industry. I don't know where you've been to be unaware of this.

I’m not the one claiming it’s every car, or lots of cars or very common.
In my experience in owning lots of different cars, from lots of different makes, it is not common at all.
Using your thinking, people would have experienced it in other cars and wouldn’t have to ask why the MG was doing it….?

I didn't say it was every car, but it is common, I've had it before and I know other people who have had the same problem. I am not claiming a specific percentage occurrence or anything.

So if you haven't experienced something, it doesn't exist? Even in this thread other people have reported it.

What do you want here? A long list so you can say "apart from the aqueducts, running water, sanitation, central heating, safe streets, education, roads.... what have the Romans ever done for us?".

I could easily say then that no MG4 has ever had a restricted speed issue, because I have never experienced it.

I look forward to you telling everyone who expresses annoyance with this in future that it’s actually very common and you “don’t know where they’ve been to be unaware of this” 👍

I never said it wasn't annoying, it is.
As I said above, I'd like a solution.

I've outlined why I think it happens badly on the MG4 (the massive volume of the rear plastic light assembly plus low temp of LEDs).

Yes, if people have never heard of this, they need to know it isn't just a thing on the MG4.

What have you contributed, apart from the incorrect (paraphrasing) "this doesn't happen with other makes"?

No, someone said it happens in “every car”
Which is a pile of pish and could lead to people just accepting this as the norm.
Not having that.

Ford consider it so normal they cover it in the owner's manual:

I am wondering if there's a possible way to vent the rear light bar from the inside of the boot lid to outside? (rather than fill the car with the condensation!). Perhaps involving a pair of vent tubes.

Has anyone looked under the boot cover to see what access there is to the light bar from inside?

When searching this thread using the forum search function, there's only yourself who has used the phrase "every car" except for @tsedge when replying to your claim someone has said "every car" and now myself in this response.

I have seen this on many cars over the years including an ID.3 demo, it doesn't look great, but have heard it is fairly normal on cars without gas sealed units, more so with LEDs and large light units, as others have said.

It CAN happen to every car under the above conditions, doesn't mean it should or we should be happy with it, it's just a fact.

Looks like it's a thing on the ID.3's cousin, the Cupra Born too.

Have seen this on a lot of cars this past 5-6yrs or maybe more. I agree it doesn’t look great, but I wouldn’t consider it something to lose any sleep about. It’s remarkably minor in the grand scheme of things…

Didn't happen in my EV6. I know the MG4 is half the price but, sealing or venting the lights would have been a nice touch.

In office car park conditions that would have my Polo (Tsi or GTi) lights misted, there wasn’t a single other car with the same issue.
Makes are Jag, Nissan, BMW, Audi, Fiat, Vauxhall, Citroen, Mazda, Renault and other VWs (but not polos)

I've seen it in quite a few newer cars including some on your list, especially cold mornings, pretty much only seen it on rear light clusters.
Seen it on VW's, BMWs, Renault's, neighbours Bron has had it in the rear light clusters
