Does it have the sunglasses holder (see screen capture) that they have in AUS/NZ?

Welcome to team RED! We have had ours since July last year and absolutely love it. I'd say get it ceramic-coated asap!!

Thanks apzs, we had the coating done with the PDI. There's a nice little polishing kit with it.
The car price was what we agreed a year ago and we still got the affinity discount plus of course the tinted windows.
Our dealer was great throughout, keeping in touch regularly, sympathetic on the pain of waiting and transparent with updates and news, good and bad.
We liked this, so I bought their 3 year service plan, the 2 year paint refresh and their "Saturday Club" option whereby they clean it for us once a month!
That's what can happen when you treat your customers right.
 
Congrats, collected mine after 15 months last week. The day before I went on holidays. also team red. No sunglasses holder and disappointingly no voice commands either. The button is on the steering wheel but apparently for ornamentation only. Finally got Android auto working after trying 4 different cables.

You would've thought that the 🎤 button would pass through to AA?
 
I have a carlinkit device too - saves constantly plugging and unplugging the phone - but pressing and holding that button on the steering wheel brings up Siri, and I can then ask to play music from Spotify/make a phone call/ask for directions etc via my iPhone.
It must work similarly with Android phones and google I would have thought?

My bad I meant the "hello mg" feature, that doesn't work. And the sat nav is woeful. I have better graphics on a Garmin I bought in 2000 and it refuses to believe my address exists. It insists I live in number 12 but that my car is parked in number 26. So I thought, OK I'll set 26 as my address, nope, refuses to believe in that too, despite insisting the car is parked in their driveway. It'd be laughable if I hadn't just spent 37,000 euros on the it. My worry is they did what great wall motors did with the ora cat, and shoved some older slower chips in it to get them out the door.

Do you have the Trophy Connect? If so, ‘Hello MG’ certainly should work. I only have the Trophy, but I am quite happy with it. A few niggles, but good value I think!

Mine also won’t accept my house number, and I am at 26 😄

No idea, we have 2 choices, of excite or exclusive here, I bought the exclusive which is the more expensive of the 2

Have you got 'Dead Reckoning' disabled as I have seen that me tinned a few times.

Yeah saw that on the threads so I did that, thanks. It doesn't really matter as I'll be relying on android auto if I need a sat nav, it's just weird that it refuses to accept my 40 year old house exists. Found my workplace no problem though🤣

I have been told by Tusker that my expected delivery will be around the end of May, is this likely to be on the SIAC ship in transit now?
 
Finally got our car last week! Well, I say our car - it was surely someone else's (cancelation) because we swapped to red from blue, but it's our car now!

Don't see the point in posting a picture - it basically the same as everyone else's! Well, it was - I've already collaborated with the wall of our house to add my own unique little design on the back corner...😣! I do like that the "SE" in Europe has roof bars, though - A useful feature missing in the UK. I know others like the sun roof, but the idea of driving a mobile greenhouse in Portugal does not appeal. However, the windows aren't tinted, as I'd expected (or at least, not tinted much) so I plan to sort that. It's 33C outside today..... 😀😅

The other thing I like - no price uplift from that originally quoted - The original price was bizarrely slightly higher than MG's stated price, but after over 1 year waiting it was basically around a £2K discount on today's prices.

Also, we were able to drive from Porto to Lisbon area without stopping - well, we did, but to go to the toilet, not to charge! I used the MG pilot feature on the motorway, when regen isn't an issue anyway, and it was 250KM of me basically just supervising the car. I know it's not the same as other brands, but I'm happy with it.

No rapid charge issues. Did have an issue with a slow charger not giving us the cable back - but that is nothing to do with car and a quick phone call (Sunday evening, so top marks to the charge point operator (edp) there) and it was released and we got the lecky for free.

Not needed the 10m spanner yet....

It seems the dealer had adjusted all the most annoying features - so the navigation worked and it was only set to lane keep pestering bing bongs, which I've further reduced.

Oh - another weird thing - I thought I'd got an issue with no channels on DAB, but that's because there aren't any DAB channels in Portugal! They apparently trialed it for around a decade with a few channels and then didn't bother carrying on! Hey ho!

So, early days, but all good so far.
