Mk1 v Mk 2 MG 5LR

I went to the Gridserve Electric Forecourt near Braintree on Saturday as I've temporarily lost my workplace charging. My Pre-FL topped out at 73kW around 50% SOC and was down to 7kW when I returned from Costa at 92% SOC. 55 minutes from 21%-92% on a 350 kw charger. No more than 6 of the 22 rapid chargers in use at any one time none of the fast chargers.
Thanks @Tweed98 I am hoping to achieve similar at Norwich as I suspect I will be quite low after 180 odd miles.
My highest was at the Osprey 150kw chargers at Banbury where at 34% SOC it went up to 93kW charging rate. Temperatures were ideal then at 25 degrees outside temp.

Blimey, I had read somewhere the 5 was capable of 100kw, best any of us had seen was 75kw. We've only had the 5s from October.

All down to the circumstances. Stopped after 155 miles, weather warm 25 degrees (August), decent charger with only one other car charging on a bank of 6.
Journey was virtually all motorway M1, M40, 65mph set on ACC, A/C on all the way.... extrapolated range about 235 miles. As I said ..ideal conditions.

Its all about personal budget and taste.
I bought my Facelift Exclusive (Trophy in the UK) 2mmths ago.
There are many differences/ upgrades compared to the Mk1.
The LED headlights are amazing, well finished off interior with updated infotainment system, improved seats, dash etc etc.
Personally, I hated the look of the old model, the new one is definitely a marked improvement and gives the feels of a more current car.
The app is amazing - one of the cars strongest features in my opinion.
After owning the facelift, I would happily pay the extra for it compared to a Mk1.
There will be no comparison in resale value bewteen the Mk1 and Mk2 as the new model feels much more premium and current.
Again - all my personal opinions!

Long time reader, first time poster.

I am seriously considering purchasing an MG5 after testing a Mk 2 Trophy back in Jan. We will by purchasing 2nd had so the main question is whether to but the cheaper Mk 1 Exclusive LR, or perhaps pay more for a Mk 2 Trophy. While I do prefer the Mk2 exterior and interior that alone isn't enough for more to pay thousands more. I would be interested in anyone's thoughts on the differences especially those who have owned both?
I wanted a trophy but the waiting list then was 5 months, so bought the MG 5 LR exclusive. Glad I did now cos range is the most important factor . I'm averaging 270 miles range. In temperatures of 21c.. I very rarely charge it to 100%. The weird thing is it does less milage per kWh when it is fully charged!!

I get an average of 4.4 to 4.7 kWh .I love the video player, when I park up.
