MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

Mines sent other way though I think novuna prob don't have a clue

Mines sent from 20th June to 21 of July......I think they will be guessing it takes the dealer a month at least to pdi and deliver
Are those dates at the docks, dealer or to you?
My novuna update still says end of July but i got the latest info from the dealer

Got some good news today - my car is in the UK, with the dealer and scheduled for delivery to me on 1st June. I ordered on 11th April 2022 through Tusker, so just 13 and a half months of waiting. Was sweating a bit as my battered old Ford C-Max is due MoT on 13th June and I wasn't optimistic of it getting through without a big bill.

Only thing is the dealer says MG only supplied a standard 3 pin plug charging cable. Apparently they will provide a proper charging cable at some unspecified time in the future - might be a couple of weeks, might not! Is this what everyone else is getting? I have a nice home charger fitted over a year ago as part of my employer's scheme and would like the chance to use it!
That sounds strange about the cable, mine came with both. I didn't think they sold them without the 7kw cable.

The novuna update doesn't say

When I have spoke to dealer they say they will get it around 20th June but can't say for sure when I will get it

After 18 months, almost certainly losing the £2.5K government grant due to the massive delay, and having cycled through two other EVs & a diesel 4x4 during that time we have finally given up on our MG ZS EV Trophy Connect.

The same day that we decided to call it quits our MG dealer rang to tell us our car should be arriving soon, which was spectacularly bad timing.

The almost certain loss of the grant along with the massively higher cost of finance means that what was a £350 a month car was looking more like a £550+ a month car; we now have an eight year old Leaf and a five year old Evoque that between them cost less per month including running costs.

We placed our order the day that the order books opened back in November 2021, it took a few days to sort out the paperwork for a trade-in as part deposit but I have seen the dealer's order book and they placed the order to MG on the first day...

This whole sorry episode has really left a bad taste in my mouth; I have championed MG EVs before but after this I don't think I can ever recommend MG again.

It would seem that a boat of mg evs has landed...my dealer confirmed my mg is in port and should be delivered shortly...couple of weeks before grant expires (got extended by gov)

The lease company admitted to me they have over a 100 cars with cancelled orders so think lots of people gave up

My understanding is that the grant still stands for cars that have been ordered before June last year and have an RRP of less than £32k as the standard range does, I have confirmed on numerous occasions with our lease provider that the price will be the same when the vehicle arrives as we signed a contract.

Finally have a delivery date for next Wednesday for my car, 13 months waiting.
Can’t wait. 😁😁😁
You will love it, we've had ours for just over a week and we love it. Done our first longer trip to Fully Charged North and getting 3.7m/kwh, came over the peak district and not having to constantly change gear plus the regent made the journey really easy.

So My car (Trophy LR White) has arrived at the dealer. Problem being - they say they will only deliver to my home address (I moved house late last year, several months after the order was meant to be delivered...). They now say they need to go back to the finance company to change the address before they can arrange delivery. Very worried that this will break things and that after 16 months of waiting - hearing the car is waiting for me - only for it to be cancelled and me be left without a car after all... Anyone have any reassurance for me?

I hope this gets resolved successfully, quickly and without too much hassle. 🤞

I can't believe they would cancel the order due to a minor admin issue. May just take a few days to sort
Which dealership?

In fairness it's all a bit out of the dealer's hands. If the finance company won't provide the finance now they're not going to give them the car for free.
Having said that; if the only change is the address I very much doubt the finance company will withdraw the finance offer. Worst case is they might offer a worse finance package but that's unlikely.
