Any better overnight tariffs?

my Intelligent Octopus tariff is now 10p 11.30pm - 05.30am and 27p outside that. 🙂

I can't get IO at the moment, the MG isn't supported by Octopus, and my charge point is a 5 year old Charge master unit that came with my Zoe - needless to say that isn't supported either!

At over a grand, I doubt it's worth getting a supported charge point :(

I agree. Octopus Go is still a good alternative tariff.

Agree , and I can’t see MG being on that list anytime soon, well at least until the Cyberster hits the UK.

Can't see any mention of the change on the site or on twitter etc.
Not doubting you at all but would have thought it was getting spoken about

That agrees with Octopus website too.
I had a message in April, it changed 21st April.

Maybe it's just the regional variation. I'm in region H and on the tariff page where you put in your postcode but don't ask for a quote the only Intelligent tariff is

Good news if the tariffs are falling though!

Hello all,

I wanted to come back to everyone on this thread and share an update with you and some recent tariff news that might be of interest. EON, has just launched a new EV tariff which seems very competitive.

Their new tariff (EON Next Drive) offers an overnight electricity rate of 9.5p per kWh from 12 midnight to 7am, a full seven hours. This is in comparison to Octopus Go's similar 9.5p rate but over a shorter four-hour window. The daytime rate is 32.37p per kWh with EON.

EON also assures that their electricity is 100% renewable, which is great for those of us concerned about our environmental footprint.

If you're considering new energy suppliers or exploring options to cost-effectively charge your MG EV, you might want to give this a look.

I've just changed to them today, as the MyEnergi installation (libbi and zappi) has just been completed a few months behind schedule due to the delayed launch of the libbi. (I'll share another post on this later).

Hope this information is helpful!

Hello everyone.

I have a new MG4 and will be installing an electric storage battery for our solar panels and overnight cheap electricity.

Can anyone recommend their electricity provider that offers a better overnight tariff than Scottish Power?
Night rate: 7 hours @ ÂŁ0.12
Day rate: ÂŁ0.47 (seems very high to me)

Thanks for any replies.
Neil
Not what you are asking about (i.e. home charging) but I noticed that MFG Rapid Charging is discounted from this month if charging after midnight. There are 2 x 6 charger banks of MFG a few minutes from me so if I charge later (or really early morning) it would save me a lot. Thought I would share in case it's relevant to others.

Interesting, thanks. My quote was a bit higher - perhaps because I am in London. 34.08 peak and the standing charge is 38.18. I have a few weeks left on Octopus Go at 7.5 and will take another look then.
