Paint removal!

Not at Wetherspoons, £1.45 and free refills. ;) :)
Don't forget, you're talking to a Yorkshireman here. :sneaky: 😛
I‘m Scottish, I tell people I’m genetically tight. All spending on car products is exempt though as my wife will testify. Me - ”Lurpak Butter, have you seen how much this costs?, What’s wrong with the own brand?”. Her - “Your car cleaning“. Me “Yes dear. Good point, well made.”

Just washed my new mg4 when removing some bird droppings it’s brought the paint off told it’s not covered in the warranty.any body else had this problem

Pearl black on my one too. Bird poop I left for a couple of days did leave a 'shadow' in the clearcoat.
Stone chips on the bonnet, roof, and a nasty one on the drivers door which left a slight dent
Not impressed with the paint quality, very thin steel too I think.

I found putting a piece of wet kitchen towel on the dropping for a few minutes softens it enough to just wipe it away
Same here, I use a paper kitchen towel that has been well damped with warm water 💧then just a few tiny drops of either car shampoo or even a bit of mild washing up liquid.
Place the wet towel over the poop and just leave it to sit there for a good 3 to 4 minutes.
Recheck and it should just wipe away.
If it’s stubborn, repeat the process.
Do not rub at the mess, it should just wipe away easily.
Bird poop can sometimes contain small particles of grit, apparently they eat it to help with their digestion system ???.

1.3p per sheet !

Do you have any pics? Who told you that it’s not covered under warranty? Under normal conditions paintwork should be able to deal with bird droppings - as long as they are not left for a very long time and the car paintwork not washed - even then the paint can usually be mopped back.
Bird droppings are a normal and expected hazard for cars. If all cars that got bird dropping suffered with paint removal there wouldn’t be many cars with good paintwork.
You need to provide more information on the circumstances in your case and some pics.
