Hi, I have a MG4 Trophy LR which I have had since early January. I have a Hypervolt home charging station and up to today I have had no problems setting the charge level via the iSmart App and starting the charge via the App and it always stops at the charge level set. However today I have been unable to get the App to see the car when 'Charge Management' is selected, it sees it on other screens of the App and it shows the battery level, however on 'Charge Management' it spins waiting for an update and then says "sorry this service is unavailable at this time, please try again later" at the bottom of the screen.

Normally my home charger doesn't start until I have gone via the iSmart App and started charging through that in 'Charge Management', however today the charger just started as soon as I locked the car, as though the cars onboard charging control is not working. I have tried driving the car away and coming back to the charger, also tried rebooting infotainment screen but all with no joy. Any help anyone can give would be appreciated as my dealer is useless.........tried too book the car in for a minor issue and told their is a 5 week wait due to back up of work in the workshop.........but thats another story.

I have a Hypervolt too. However I have always used solar charging or a scheduled charge via the Hypervolt app.
The car makes the high voltage battery unavailable when the charger is connected, so have you tried to set a schedule and limit in the smart app with the charger disconnected, then connect the charger, car locked, unlocked etc and permutations thereof ?

Hypervolt will start to charge if set to 'Plug & Charge' and 'Boost' and connected to the car. But as you say, if the car has a schedule set, the car should not accept the charge session until ready.

Hi thanks for the replies, yes I have tried logging out and back in again, also tried all permutations I can think of regarding locking, unlocking, cable in cable out etc. Just weird it has just started doing it?

Okay, final things to try, if you haven't already will be force stop the app on your phone and clear the cache.
Also hold down the home button on the car infotainment system for at least 10 seconds to reboot it.

If you still have the issue after trying all that, i'd be asking the dealer for their input, unless anyone else on here has any ideas / experience to add ?

Hi, just to close this thread, for no reason and nothing I have done, it just started working as it did before via the App. Obviously gremlins in either the App or the car not sure which, but been charging happily for a week now, thanks for responding to my initial cry for help.
