Not sure if the regen is working , mechanically it seems to work ie when you take your foot off the accelerator the regen kicks in however when i look at the display on the central screen it shows no benefit being achieved from regen , Also the little graph thing doesnt seem to work .. Any ideas

Is your battery already fully charged? If theres no headroom it wont regen very well, you will need to get the battery down a few % to get effective regen.

I think you need to accumulate 1kW of regen for it to show on the graph.

If you can feel the braking effect when you take your foot off the accelerator, it has to be going somewhere.

Even with an almost full battery it works to some extent. I set off from the botanic gardens where my car had been on a free type 2 charger, with a full battery. It dropped down to 99% soon afterwards, but the road then led on a gentle downhill stretch by the river. I was only seeing 1-2% regeneration on the screen, but much to my surprise the SoC display (briefly) went back to 100%!

As above, you need to accumulate 1kWh of regen benefit before the display (in the Battery tile, under the Consumption tab) will show anything. Plus, there are From Start and From Last Charge tabs you can select ... From Last Charge is more likely to show something, unless you're on a longer trip and haven't yet stopped the car.

Do you have a Trophy or SE? On my Trophy it never shows anything for regen regardless of how far you've travelled.

I had 6kW on our last trip - it was over 250 miles though, so it takes a while to build up that first 1kW.

The graph is fixed in R33 firmware.

My Trophy has never shown any regen data. What version of infotainment software do you have, mine is R33?
It shows as a minus figure on the power meter e.g. -10 is 10% regen, a plus figure is power being used e.g. 10 is 10%.

Mine is R33 and doesn't show regen data in the circle, I do get the negative power display but we are talking about the stats available in the infotainment screen.
I haven't even found that display yet, I've only had it two days. ;)

I find mine (SE on R13) doesn’t show anything on journeys less than about 30/40 miles. On a recent 80+ mile journey it registered either 2 or 3…IIRC. I’ve no doubt it’s working, but that 1st KW takes a while to generate.

I've mentioned on another thread that my Trophy (on R33) doesn't show anything. I've done 150+ mile trips and no regen showed. Is the regenerative breaking useful at all on the MG4?
The regenerative braking is useful and does work it's just not showing on the graph.
