Just sent the link to a good friend who has a Leaf. It's a game-changer for the cars. It's the reason I wouldn't have gone near one, and it's solved.

I think it’s great that after all these years this has appeared. I recall a few years ago it was said this was not possible but it is now it’s here, not cheap at around £850 but it’s a lot cheaper perhaps than changing your car.

I like the Leaf; I may have purchased one of the later ones for my wife over the the MG4 if this had been around 2 years ago. CHAdeMO was the main reason for not doing.
I wonder if it will charge on a Tesla supercharger.

My son bought his first car last year, a 9 year old LEAF with a battery at 85% SOH. For long journeys he borrows my ZS long range. This adapter will be a game changer for him. :)

Older Teslas use a CCS adapter anyway for the Superchargers (Dave Takes it on) as they had the original Tesla connectors, so don't see a problem with using an adapter.
Whether it will communicate or not ???????

That’s the question Gomev will it/they communicate not the adapter.

So I have asked the question in the comments section of the video let’s see if he responds.

I can't see why it would not work, unless Tesla do something dodgy to work out what sort of "vehicle" it's talking to. Though if it needs a VIN and that's part of the protocol, that should work. Hopefully it won't freak out when it finds a hither-to-unknown VIN number range (i.e. the Leaf's).

I made it more like £1,650 when I checked. Where did you get the £850 number from?

I saw someone on Twitter saying it was about £850 as well, so I think you're right. I was speaking to my friend this evening and he hasn't had any trouble finding CHAdeMO chargers as yet, so he's going to wait and see what happens to the price.

I think the availability will boost the resale value of Leafs too.

I think it is grossly overpriced for what it is. No doubt someone will come up with something similar and with competition price will be more realistic. Incidentally I live in Aberdeen and although I charge at home, when I need a fast charger I haven’t found any problem with finding one

It is very expensive, BUT, a lot of work went into it and the production costs for (what would be at the moment) just a few sales is going to make it a bit pricey. But this no different to any new tech. Once sales increase, the price should drop quite significantly as many folk across the world will want one (I know I do).

why do I have to buy a minimum of two when I would only need one. This pricing puts it out of the range of most near drivers.
