First impressions having migrated from a Mitsubishi PHEV to the MG HS PHEV.

The car is performing very well, impressively self driving around bends keeping a set distance, and auto stopping. Very easy and relaxing in traffic.

Couple of observations;
I miss the paddles
I miss the heated windscreen (Monday was cold)
I miss the App
I miss that I cannot tell the car to defrost if it's a work day and below 3'C
I miss the timed charger option
I miss the locking wheel nuts ( though I cannot remember hearing of anyone recently who'd had their wheels nicked )

The HS is a smoother, quieter drive except at the 48mph gear change where it seems to pause.
The battery is currently 8 miles better than the Mitsubishi, which is brilliant.
The seats are considerably more comfortable.
The dash is way smarter, neater, sleeker and definitely more informative, I very much like the multi screens showing massive amounts of information.
The infotainment screen is larger and sharper and perfectly placed.
I love the puddle lights, very nice touch.
I love the sun roof.

Things I miss;
Paddles

Upgrade requests;
Cruise Auto Set to speed signs
App

Questions;
Is there any way to see how many miles each of the engines have done so I'll know when it's run in?

Verdict;
The car is excellent and I'm very happy, it took me several months to be happy with the Mitsubishi, the HS has taken 145 miles.

I've yet to charge at a commercial charge point but I've no worries about that, and I've yet to go long distance ( next couple of weeks ).

The only thing at commercial charge points is the thick cable they some times use, you may need to hold the type two plug straight on until the plug is locked in place and the car say it’s charging, the weight on the cable can pull the plug down.
As to time charge I did a test this weekend I plug the car in with no power going to the plug. 1hour later I switched on the granny charger and the car started to charge so you can have a timer out side the car.

No idea about locking wheel nuts but you stress right about the rest.
I had 2017 Juro and max I got was 23 urban miles. HS is capable of 40+. There is no EV guess o meter - petrol range is GoM like.
Miss the paddles and inability to preheat / defrost the car but HS is good for everything else.

Thai version has an app

Timed charger issue : I've fixed with a Shelly mod, works a treat.
Question for you. Do you plug in like you did with Outlander?? I used to plug Outlander without second thought and it would always charge. HS needs Granny powered when plugging in.

Does Shelly mod do away with it since the cable had power just pilot is off??
