Mine wasn’t part of affinity scheme and still due this month (ordered start October), but was from a batch dealer had already placed an order for. I added protection pack (mud flaps etc), tinted windows as it’s white and looks better and the dashcam.
I don’t think it makes much difference, no expert on Affinity but would think the discount is from MG and wouldn’t effect dealer too much.
I think this is just one of those frustrating things that is now happening with all aspects of supply chain and will take some time to normalise.

Ordered late September on Affinity, and no news yet.
My dealer told me on 15th Nov my car was on boat. I found this one which is a vehicle carrier, left China on 15th. It is also a sister ship to Grand Orion which someone else posted was carrying MGs.
Think this is likely to also be carrying our MGs?

Mine is on mg affinity scheme exclusive long range but no extras. and should be under a month from order to delivery. Think it just depends whether your garage has any available in the country or on the way. If they don’t you’ll have to wait longer.

Just heard from dealer that my MG now has a Vin assigned and is in the UK. Just waiting on a delivery date but shouldn’t be long.
Do the cars go to a finishing centre before delivery to the dealership or is it simply just arranging them to be delivered once they arrive?

I got a hint that some dealers might be prioritising those agreements that have included a trade in, as second hand car market is so mental that theyre able to turn them around with good mark up, no trade in, back of the queue.

As much as I like chips, after this amount of waiting I'd have ordered something else off the menu!

Delivery information, I ordered my MG5 LR on 8th September from my dealer in Scotland, I was told at the point of ordering that they could allocate a Grey that was on shipment. They informed me it would take three months to get to dealerships but would try to improve. Received an e mail from the dealership two week’s ago that MG estimated delivery by 21st of November call from sales today stating that the car was in Portbury and was due to be delivered by 3rd December. Sales guy stated that they have informed MG they want it sooner. So here’s hoping that happens, in saying that even if arrives on the date of the 3rd they will have kept the promise of 3 months. Can’t wait to get it, hope this helps other members

Hmm.. I ordered mine 1st September and was told "6 weeks". Then told it'll be delayed by a few weeks. So it's now end November - so 10 weeks and counting. Fingers crossed it turns up soon. I would have thought dealers should be able to give more accurate updates the nearer it gets to delivery time?

The dealers only know what they are fed by the Vehicle Operations team, and apparently have no point of escalation if things aren't going right.

We think that a large batch were delivered to Southampton due to capacity issues at Portbury, confused the MG system as they had to be transported to Portbury for QA checks etc thus adding the weeks to delivery.
A good guess based on the MG system tracking of mine.

I am in to my 15th week since order now, was promised last week that it would be November delivery. Well there's a day left if promise to be kept but no contact from dealer as yet.

My dealer confirmed to me that all MGs they had that arrived on the Euphrates Highway in Southampton on 3/11 had to be transferred to Portbury before MG accepted them.
The MG system acted as if they arrived on 3rd but failed as they were in the wrong place and resurfaced with a later delivery date as in Portbury.
Yours may well be in that lost batch!

My dealer confirmed to me on 23rd November that I was still on for November delivery and was expecting car any day, this was after looking on the system to check. Surely it would have been taken into account the cockup at Southampton to Portbury by that date?!
I really don't know what to say about the customer service from my dealer, not once have they been in touch to update me on the situation, every communication has been instigated by myself.
