I now proud owner of a silver trophy connect. I was in the right place at the right time.
The app is hard work to get it to work.
I think the seats are more comfortable.
You notice the increased power.
Still no rear lighting.
Sun roof controls easier, but can use voice now.
Infotainment is a great improvement
At last time charging on a rolec.

Congratulations, the silver looks really nice. Hopefully you can answer one question and will get many more as an early adaptor and that is what does the connect give you? You get weather and traffic but do you still need to subscribe to amazon to get music? I'm finding it hard to justify the £500 for the connect upgrade and I'm hoping you can get me there!

I got the connect after they upped part ex and it was the only one available. Worth it well no, you can get traffic features on android auto(although you still have to plug in). Amazon music you have to subscribe £7.99, I tried my amazon account but it does not include music. of course I do know if future updates will add features, and not trying the trophy if it has voice. But again you get them with android auto.

You think the voice control may be connect only? I had a suspicion that could be the case. Interesting, do you have to call your car Alexa?;)

No - Just press the voice control button and the car will ask you for your request, it will then repeat your request and carry out the command.
Appears to work for controlling the climate control and opening the sun roof.
Not sure if it works on the Sat Nav, but it will not open the side windows by voice command.
I tried it yesterday, while taking a test drive.
If the voice control only works when you purchase the Iconnect, what is the point of putting it there on the other models ?.

Interesting...I would also be curious to know if the voice is active on the Trophy.
For Amazon (I have Prime) I just looked and the page stated:

"Welcome to Amazon Music Prime

Start listening to two million songs, including thousands of stations and top playlists, ad-free. It's all included with your Prime membership."

So it should work on the Connect.

It'd be for Android Auto/ car play voice command when you have your phone connected

interesting difference. In Germany there is only the luxury version including Connect. we don't pay an extra 500.-. online is valid for four years at no extra charge. Let's see what comes next ..

for talking to your phone, like on the outgoing model, I'm hoping the non-connect trophy will still allow me to open the sunroof without lifting my arm up!! :D

What did you think of the car?
Hi @Cocijo .
It was a fairly short test drive of only about 20 - 25 miles in horrible weather conditions, as I am sure you understand.
What did I think ?.
Here is a brief summary.
It was a Battersea Blue ( nice ) Trophy Iconnect and had only covered about 80 miles.
The first thing I noticed when pulling away, there is a slight delay when pushing the “Go” pedal.
Maybe they have done this to help with wheel spin ?.
Straight away, you get the feeling that something has changed regarding the ride ?.
The car feels more settled and a little less “wobbly” if there is such a word 🤣.
I can’t make my mind up if there has been changes to the suspension set up i.e. springs or dampers or it just down to the increased weight the longer range model is packing.
Either way, it feels better.
The same could be said about the steering, it feels more positive and more responsive.
Hard to tell properly, but the power feels about the same in normal mode and with Regen 3 it feels very similar.
The motor whine at about 28 Mph on the Gen1 model has gone.
The only time you can here the motor spinning up, is when you are travelling at about 50 Mph and you want to make quick progress to overtake.
As you bring the car from about 50 - 55 Mph you can just about hear it.
As you easy back on the “Go” pedal, it’s gone.
I reset the trip and after a little bit of town work, we headed for the dual carriageway.
We where travelling at speeds around 55 to 70 Mph due to the weather conditions.
We returned 3.9 M/kWh on our quick trip.
The instruments and info unit are a massive improvement over the Gen1 model.
The cabin / road noise is about the same I would say.
Okay, bottom line would I buy one ?.
Well, I still have my deposit in place !.
The face lift has addressed about 95% of the issues that owners of the original had I do believe.
The standard range model due in Jan 2022 with its increase range, would not tempt me to replace my current ZS EV.
Yes the face lift with its extra bits and slightly increased range is great, but speaking for myself I am looking at that bigger battery that the long range version has to offer, plain and simple.

I test drove the trophy (non connect) and it had the voice control.
That is VERY interesting, because on another post voice command function has been suggested will only to work with the range topping I.connect function ?.
Has any OTHER dealers that we know, had a Trophy model delivered as a demo car ?.
The majority appear to be showing the top of the range all equipped Trophy I.connect.
My local dealer has a Trophy I.connect as the Demo and a SE model on display in the showroom.
We Trophy order people, may still have to use our fingers to press the button in the roof after all !.
What absolute bummer :ROFLMAO: .

are you 100% sure it was the Trophy and not the Connect? I’ll be doing a video next week to highlight the differences but I’m sure from my experience of the trophy that it doesn’t have voice activation except for Apple CarPlay/Android Auto

Hi All,
I have a Connect on order, my burning question is " does the Trophy have a Wi-Fi Hotspot, so I can connect my dash cam?" If so will the non connect car offer the same for £500 less.

I read somewhere you can only connect one smart phone with the iSmart app, so if someone had already done so, it will be impossible until that one is removed, but I won't know for sure till march.

100% with you, I thought it would be an option.

100% agree, I thought it would be an option not a separate model.
