This was last nights charge now that we are finally on the Go tariff, with the Ohme charger.
89p overnight charge +41 miles, @ 1.64p per mile.
Am I reading that right?

If so that seems pretty good value doesn't it. That's a lot less than last month while we were still on their Flexible Tariff.

That doesn't look quite right.
Your chart slope should start at 00.30 and flatten at 04.30. your like like it was charging during late morning?

What are the Y Axis units of measurement?

Yes, it doesn't turn itself off on the Ohme charger at 04.30 - just keeps going till we unplug it.
Do I have to set it up manually to do that, and on the minimum charge of 13p per hour Octopus Go, would that even charge it up?
Or do you not have the max charge cost switched off and just leave it to go full pelt for the 4 hours at night?

Or maybe it doesn't matter... and what is with all of these gazillion Octopus Go Faster tariffs, any idea?? Appreciate your advice - thankyou.

Here's how I have it setup, with a few notes.
  • I’ve slightly amended the tariff so that I can set a price cap to ensure it never starts charging before 00:30. It’ll never charge after 10:30am either.
  • Max rate set appropriately in association with the tariff setup
  • I have it setup to normally (most days) charge from 0:30 - 04:30.
    But on 3 days a week we need the “maximum” charge for my wife’s 105mile commute where she leaves at 06:30am, so those days it’ll charge from 00:30-06:30 - Realistically this always means we have a 100% battery.
  • 89 miles is the most it can always add between 0:30 - 04:30. Any more than 89 and it causes annoying notifications saying it cannot meet the miles by the time etc. (A bit weirdly I've had to reduce this to 88 miles a few days ago).
  • 134 miles is the most it can always add between 0:30 - 06:30. Any more than 134 and it causes annoying notifications saying it cannot meet the miles by the time etc.
