Hello, I bought my MG ZS EV about one year and a half ago. From my previous cars I was used to bringing my car to the dealer for inspection when the car tells me to do it (dash board info). I am wondering when or if my car will notify me? I made about 15.000 km since I bought it.

There's no automated notification so with the first service at 12 months it just relies on your ability to mark a date on the calendar. I haven't had my MG5 for a year yet but I know that for my other car (Ford), the dealer sends me a letter when the service is due though I think this is more a courtesy thing than a requirement.
Sounds like you may have blown your warranty cover. I'd make contact ASAP to see where you stand.

The car doesn't tell you, but your dealer will probably, mine sent me a reminder via email! According to the service information you are supposed to get it serviced every 12 months or 15000 miles whichever comes first, so you are over by 6 months! :O I would call your dealer and get it booked in.

I got a letter through the post from the dealership I got the car from telling me a month before it was due a service to book an appointment.

There is a service reminder but it goes on mileage, not time and I think it's something stupid like 15,000 miles when reset IIRC.

I followed your advise and made an appointment at my dealer. The dealer seems to be surprisingly relaxed about it. He told me that most important is not to be over the indicated milage but that I should definitely come for an inspection soon. I didn't fully understand what the difference between assistance and warranty is but he explained to me that there should be no problem with my warranty but my assistance by MG is only always valid for a year only continues when I come in for service (from with it will be valid for another year).

Generally the dealer didn't seemed very worried and said that the first service isn't very important anyway because the second one is the first where there is actually something done. The first one will just be an electronical readout and change of an air filter.

Yes, we in the UK get a year's AA breakdown assistance, which is renewed after every service done at an MG Dealer.

Ah ok. This makes sense. It is possible that he said AA and not MG assistance. Didn't know this even existed. I have AA myself (even two times because my car insurance offers it for free and I member) so I didn't really care.

That sounds very positive but I'd get it in writing!
