Sneaking up on wildlife

We didn't need new laws to that effect. All that's happened is to deflect the responsibility further on to the motorist and absolve the terminally stupid from any blame it seems to me.

Yesterday i snuck up on a strange bird.
It opened its doors straight into my path whilst i drove down a high street.
A slam on the brakes and a toot accompanied with a stern look helped.
The birds partner gave her a disgusted look. I'm quiet. Not invisible.

Today i encountered a lesser visioned cuckoo , tried to flap its wings at me for driving in front of her.
To which i pointed to the give way lines painted on the road in front of her, again the male accompanying gave a wtf look.
Feather's ruffled but only because of their ignorance of right of way.
Amazingly both incidents were about 300 metres apart.

An argument that only holds up if you believe that there are no road users who are both motorists and stupid. My long experience of driving does not support this notion....

All road users and all those walking need to be aware of ev's and ice vehs as new ones are just as quiet that why the new laws have been up dated when driving need to be aware even those cycling and walking 👍
Last week over on the Isle of Mull we saw quite a lot of wildlife of various types. We drove round many beautiful miles of single track roads so luckily we were driving slowly anyway.
This was fortuitous, not for any of the wildlife or indeed the many sheep and cattle that wander or even lie on the warm tarmac. No, our problem was the many, many twitchers and photographers who were stopped all over the place with binoculars, telescopes and cameras with dustbin sized lenses often on tripods, sometimes in groups standing in the middle of the road. At least the wildlife and livestock would often walk up the middle of the road for a while allowing some progress before moving to the side to allow our silent progress 😍
How many of the human element expected to see much in such large groups with their badly parked Dino vehicles left running was amusing.
