You might be right, I can't find any meaningful quotes yet. I think I saw somewhere they are group 28.

With the press day later in the week and deliveries whenever in the future it must take awhile for the insurance companies to catch up.

how did anyone get on insuring new ZS. I’m trying to insure my LR Trophy with Aviva and struggling to get anywhere to even get a quote.

Tell me about it, I could not get a quote from my current company as the reg was not in the database and any description of the car I could give did not come up on their computer system. Finally went with the AA but still had to talk to a supervisor before they would quote.

I believe I got a quote for £300 for the year on gocompare. Not sure if it's valid but it seems legit, had no issues inputting car data etc.

There is a specific ZS model you have to input. Can't remember what it is, but I looked in January when I ordered mine.

Well aviva said they won’t insure at all due to cost of possible repairs
AA wanted £1093
Direct line was £325 so gone with them

Coincidentally, I've just received a range of renewal quotes via Quotzone.
Cheapest was £199.

Yeah my cheapest quote with myself +1 claim and my wife +1 claim came in at 220 for the year with Admiral... I have a multicover policy with them so it will ultimately be cheaper than that when I add it to the policy.

If this is £220 that sounds incredibly cheap.

My insurance cost £660 here.

Oh and this is the price after i deselected the road assistance :)

The coverage is

  • Damages i cause on other people, their things eller vehicles.
  • Damages to my own car in case of an accident, fire, theft or robbery of the car
  • Retrofitted gear in the car (Dashcam, GPS etc.)
  • Parking damage
  • No selv payment if i hit an animal

220 is about right... I am 33, have pass plus, 14 years protected no claims and access to another car... anything over 300 I think is expensive. The only thing this quote doesn't come with is legal expenses as I get that through work and breakdown cover which I will get from MG lol

Blimey, everything is a lot more expensive here i guess.

I have about 25 years of accident free driving, so it's not like its because i am a youngster or have a bad reputation with the insurance companies over accidents :)

Oh well, cars are also a lot more expensive here, so i guess that more expensive cars = Higher insurance rates.

But who am i to complain, i only pay about 50% tax on my income, and 65% of everything above a certain amount. :)

Hi all
I have a71 plate mg5 Exclusive LR with aftermarket wheels tinted windows and other extras all declared to insurance
My policy is fully comp with all the extras added legal protection personal injury etc

I hope that is a sarcastic "who am I to complain" because I only pay 20% tax on my income lol and then 50% on anything above 100k... I am going to throw out on a limb though and assume that as your cost of living in Denmark is pretty high that your salaries are also rather tasty.

Cost of living is insane.

Tax is something like 42% on everything, then 8% on top for everyone working and then 1% church tax (I have never been a member of the church so i save that 1%)

Everything i make a year, that is above £62.350 is hit with an additional 15%

When i paid my taxes, and i go to buy something, there is a 25% VAT on top of that.

Oh and then there are extra taxes on cigarettes, alcohol, nuts, sugar, chokolate, petrol, diesel, gas and....I kid you not, the air in softice, just to name a few.

From the taxes i can deduct any debt (33% of the interest on the loan), and i get a small amount as compensation for driving to work (First 15 miles per day is not deductible).

Its one big socialist nightmare where we give "all of our money" to the government, and they redistribute it to those who they see fit.

For example right now other countries are lowering the VAT or taxes on goods, but here, they are not going to lower those, they would much rather have some highly paid people redistribute them, only to the "so called poor". (The same demographics that usually vote for those, currently in power...Total coincidense by the way :) )

PS. Sadly the "other side" of the parliament is not a lot better, here we sadly only have different shades of socialism..

Remind me never to complain about the UK tax system ever again... this is rough...
