MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

Anyone know how long it takes to produce a Zs from start to rolling of the production line. And how many produced per day. Are they running 24/7?

I’ve heard they’re sleeping on the factory floor to keep production going during lockdowns…so I doubt 24/7…otherwise they won’t be able to get any sleep!

Ordered from the LR Trophy in Red from Chorley in Burnley on February 7th and was told May.
Just after ordering I was told June. I was told that again in March.
A couple of weeks ago I got an email saying August now.
At least you got a email. I ordered my LR SE December 8th from Carlisle and not a single word from them, I have to chase them.

I would make sure its been ordered and ask for your 10 digit number as someone else found out orders don't always go through

Here you go if interested.

the '4' with heatpump is ~£10K more than the ZS Trophy... The Kia is nicer but not 10K nicer IMO (Trophy LR available for £31,000)

Which garage is selling a new trophy LR for£31,000?

Cool I would hate anyone to be in that position waiting 6 months then told you didn't order you paid just to show interest

Same as myself, Nathanial I ordered from in South Wales.

They advised it should be here in July, fingers crossed
I just got this from my dealers..
Good Afternoon Simon

Sorry to have to say that we still don’t have any set update or confirmed date yet from MG for shipment of your car, it is still currently showing as in production stage.

We still don’t have any confirmation of shipments for August yet and should get these in the next few weeks.

So second update from MG Bristol North that I have had. The new 'in stock' date I have been given is 30th September for my White LR Trophy Connect ordered at the begining of March. I guess It's gonna be a few months continuing with Onto then :D

I've had to chase Nathanials for all my updates.

They advised it had been built and was looking at July, but I'll see what happens.

I got the below from our MG dealers yesterday saying there is a "production pause", and no delivery dates.... this doesnt seem the same as other peoples experiences??

Dear Customers,

We have tried our best over the last week to call all our customers and provide you with an update from MG. If we were unsuccessful in reaching you, we have left you a voicemail if we had the option to do so.

We are writing this email as a follow up to confirm that MG have put a pause on production of their vehicles, removed all estimated delivery dates and are unsure of when they will be able to deliver a vehicle to you.

For us as a dealership it is very frustrating to have nothing further to provide you with, and we appreciate your upset and frustrations with both us and MG. There is a global shortage of all vehicles which is affecting all manufacturers, due to Covid-19, the Ukraine war, the microchip shortage and more, but I know that does not provide you with any comfort.

MG have not provided us with much more information but based on what they have said we believe it could be another 6-12 months before we can provide you with a vehicle. They have told us that vehicles are being provided based on order dates, so for us customers who ordered back in July should see their vehicles first and we may have contacted you regarding when we hope to see this – and then they will be delivered in that order, however the waiting list is all MG Dealers in the UK and not just ours.

We will be given a 3-month window from MG when your vehicle begins production, and from then we will know it is 3 months until it is due with us, which we can then confirm with you.

If you have asked us to cancel, I would ask that you reply to this email with written confirmation of that which we will forward to MG to confirm this.

Our sincerest apologies for the aggravation this has caused, we will do our best to keep you updated and be as transparent as possible.

Thank you,

Lauren

It’s concerning but production has been slow or non-existent to date anyway.
