Anyone had this problem

I've just found a crack in the mg log of my charger door. Going to ring dealers to see if they will sort. Can't figure out how it would have happened other than someone knocking door while charging

I had just got my car back from the body shop and had a look at my charge port....

I always thought the (closed) charging door looked vulnerable to parking knocks from higher vehicles as it is very close to the foremost point on the front bumper. SWMBO is always watching when the neighbour brings a van home from work and parks in front of her.
Maybe some one bumped you guys when they were parking ?

I think the front bumper will have to be removed
Take a look at my thread on fitting fog lights

Hi BillyWhizz
The bumper is not hard to remove
If you have a 10mm socket and a pozi 2 screwdriver your half way there
If you follow my link on fitting fog lights it would probably take up an hour of your time from start to finish
The problem I had was finding out where all the bolts were but I took photos of them all as you can see from my link
Have a go😃

Had a look at mine yesterday and it's pristine.
I'd definitely say there was impact damage.

I've got to agree unless you assume that the part fitted to the OP's car is a different and weaker design.
