Brakes release timing and oil leak?

Once you have released the brake pedal and the car is not moving with the car in 'Drive', press the brake pedal again and release it, the car should then crawl forwards

MG4 EV Charging Cost with EON

IHD or Smart Meter ? IHD displays differ and some are just not that smart.

    MG4 Comfort has cabin vibration:(

As you mention it only occurs at a certain speed, try adjusting your bonnet level. If you open the bonnet there are two block knobs either side at the front on the body work which adjust the height of the bonnet when shut, they can be adjusted by hand. I had a problem with noise at about 60 mph...

Since I changed the blinkers to LED DAB fades away

Hey @Scoozy Where I live I have quite a long unlit drive which I like to reverse down. Doing this with the standard reversing bulbs was quite a challenge until I swapped them for LED bulbs, now it lights the way nicely. I also did the indicators too whilst I was there and also found the DAB...

    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

I see where you are coming from, but just because it can't be seen, doesn't make it acceptable and I would hate to be driving around with a potentially costly time-bomb under my car. From what I have heard it's a £700 replacement part.

    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

So let's be clear.... if you found your car had large gaps with door alignments, would that be acceptable because it's not a safety issue ?... of course not. This is in effect a poor standard of parts and or installation quality. In short it's unacceptable on a brand new car and creates the...

MG4 EV Charging Cost with EON

That's a really poor show from BG. I'm with Octopus on their 'Go' tariff with cheap overnight and a Landis SMET2 meter. Octopus take the 1/2 hourly readings and bill me accordingly. Nothing smart from my Landis meter or IHD.

MG4 EV Charging Cost with EON

https://community.eonnext.com/threads/7277-Next-Drive-amp-Smart-Meter-IHD Last post on this was 2 days ago states "I've just moved to smart meter and next drive a day later. I have exactly the same problem. Display does not hold or use overnight tariff. So all costs are meaningless. Might as...

MG4 EV Charging Cost with EON

So you are saying you can enter a cost between hours of the day to cover an off-peak tariff and a different cost for different hours for a peak tariff. If so what make and model of IHD do you have which supports that?

MG4 EV Charging Cost with EON

When you say 'Smart Meter' do you mean the smart display inside your home ? If so you cannot rely on that display as it is not smart enough to differentiate between on and off peak tariffs, hence only gives you a price set within it. Switch it to display Kwh used, you then can do the...

MG4 won't unlock or start 10 hours after last use

Dead 12v battery. This sounds to me (as you had the car on charge) like once you have it back up and running, take it back to your dealer and ensure the BMS (battery management system) and other module firmware is up to date. Potentially loose battery connection too, should be checked. The 12v...

    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

Yes, as @Rolfe stated, mine was replaced due to gaps I found very similar to the ones you mention. This has a detrimental effect on the aerodynamics of the car, especially if you have a Trophy with down force created by the rear spoiler. The gaps will create a counter effect to that down force...

    MG4 Seats

Ah yes, Alcantara is much better than the standard fabric used in most MG4s and as you say will hold you better I found the standard fabric not very supportive at all.

    MG4 Seats

There are two support bars which stick out from the bodywork, these are intended to provide seat support and positional alignment. However the covers do not take that into consideration and foul them, which causes the seat to not move back far enough when re-installed and hence the securing...

    MG4 Seats

This is very subjective I know, everyone is different, however, after 4.5k miles in my car I have found the seats not particularly comfortable. The thigh support is short and the fabric used coupled with the foam within the seats can make for a less than supportive experience. A YouTube video of...
