    OBD2 MG5 PFL LR

Or it might be a dongle that won’t work whatever software you have. I know my FL5 ignores my old ones that have worked in every other ICE car. Post in thread 'Compatible ABRP ODB Dongles' Compatible ABRP ODB Dongles And then there’s the iOS vs Android problems.

The Ultimate MG5 "Real World" Energy Consumption Thread

Did a return journey yesterday. ~140miles ~90%motorway each way. 100 down to 30% on the way down. Charged to 85% for return (nice to hit peak of 71kW in the warmer weather) and expecting to use 70% on the way back. Got home with a little bit of range anxiety at 6% having used 79%

    Infotainment screen

Swipe down from top of screen to reveal brightness slider, and button to turn off next to BT icon. Off is still backlit clock but dimmer.

    Infotainment screen

At my desk so can’t remember exactly but swipe down from top of infotainment screen and there is a brightness option. (I think) Is there also an option to turn screen off (or am thinking of my Seat Leon?) And yes main driver display is too bright even on lowest setting.

    Energy consumption accuracy

There is a thread on here somewhere that basically states that battery % is only guide and not a precise measurement. I’ve had a few journeys in my FL5 where consumption and battery % used are clearly out of alignment. Best example is when I’ve done ~10miles with no loss of battery %!!!

I have a Trophy with the 17inch wheels. Best I’ve got is 4.1 in the summer. Wish it had the option to go 16inch but retain all the other Trophy features.

Function of the left button on the infotainment changed.

I know what the manual says but reality is different. On my FL5 Trophy a long press on the first button turns the AC on or off just like middle button. I’ve just gone and tried it again. Short press brings up AC controls.

Function of the left button on the infotainment changed.

I may have had this. From memory a longer press as opposed quick press turned AC off like middle button.

Pics of other cars you've had.🙂

When I thought life couldn’t get any better. The BMW as a safe, reliable company car. And then I bought the GTV for a bit of fun. Was beautiful, hugely impractical for a family of 4, and back then you had regular arguments with the dealer to fix it.

KERS 3, but (sometimes) no strong over-run drag of motor braking

In my FL5 KERS 3 behaves like KERS 1 when I drive off with a full battery.

    Rapid speeds FL

I have some shiny MFG’s near me and occasionally ‘splash and dash’ so I can get to work and then 7kW charging for free. In the cold weather I get ~40kWh. I know from summer holiday in France that car will do 90kW when ambient is >30°C.

Less miles this month (thanks Covid!) and gradual increase from 3.0 to average 3.3 by the end.
