March '23 FL & never any OTA updates. I did get (during 1st service) s/w update; radio now behaves! Fine, but only recently noticed I no longer have the 'car proximity alert' (red leds in the wing mirrors)? One step forward, <n> back!
It's OK/the norm, regardless of distributor, for us to have a moan. And I'm by default reluctant to mention when things go OK. Yet WLMG Eastcote (I had ZS prevously from them) provided updated details on AA cover at 1st service (FL MG5) & revised tel no. Only gripe to date is the location!
As with earlier response I reattached (3 series BMW) son's rear mirror. Having removed the cowling the mirror rotates (left or right) on it's axis/central pin. NB I held the pin (with padded wrench!) whilst (firmly) rotating the mirror off/on. Is MG the same?
Perhaps obvious, but it's ideal answering/disconnecting phone calls. Irrespective of the phone yet it would be great to have Sat Nav voice commands capability. Not sure if that's possible via Android Auto?
Yet another variant! Driving with Radio 5 Live on earlier (Wales/Italy). I then, using the steering wheel controls to, change over to Radio 4. The display changed but I was still hearing Radio 5? Upshot was I had no control (a Voyager I conundrum!). Radio finally switched off when I locked the...
I'm referring to central MG server (Chine or wherever located?). Whether my MG5 is on or off iSmart works fine. However, some members within the MG forum have thought some of the problems are due to their respective 4G phone network. So, yes a few variables to consider.
I did have the same (FL Mar23). It started when playing music from m/phone (via usb cable) & then the same to the raidio? In the end I stopped music via m/phone (via usb); since then behaviour fine, but hasn't totally disappeared. Service due shortly so I'll ask.
Based on previous feedback on this forum I went ahead & removed the rear seat base (FL). Given the base has a metal frame I was careful, but all was well. It took a five minutes (need to disconnect the seat belt wire connectors). And it fits nicely in the floor well. I recommend a firm pull...
I'm quite happy (previous ZS, now 2023 FL). I switch on heating with A/C (no external air source) set low fan & temp at 19c which works ok. And yes I switch it off/on constantly. I also noticed with a friends (non EV) new car similar demisting issues so I can only conclude new car syndrome...
Ask (you guessed it) for printout/copy of car details/service record off their system. As to iSmart I would ask, given whoever initiated the Bind may no longer be present, they 'unbind' via the MG computer system?
Default would be the granny charger. However, if selling privately consider sale/no sale scenario? If the latter give both and allow yourself an uprated Type 2.
My better half encounters it constantly ( as does g/daughter on n/s rear)! However, with front passenger door I lean over and 'double' pull on the handle (quick 1..2). This works everytime?
nb. I can only assume she pulls on the handle (slowly) + I've not got to the drivers door 'locks' to...
Is sound ok for USB 'music' ? Regardless I'd disconnect bluetooth (on Android phone or 'forget/delete' on MG5). Confirm if sound returns. Try again?
As to the Radio vs USB or (phone for Music). I had several instances where Radio would stop. Idpress the 'play' icon but it would last 15secs then...
Please do check your daily needs. At 4500-5500miles pa for us no need for a 7kw unit upgrade. Likewise with Octopus GO tariff our daily KW needs (vs cheap rate for EV charging) I could save approx £2 per month. Apologies if this does not fit with most, but the maths (Octopus GO vs standard...
I went to use the App but it forced me to download the latest version (2.0.1). And now? err totally unusable ...standard error displays:- "The remote control instruction failed" & "Unable to get vehicle GPS". Reinstalled + clear cache etc, but no luck. Given the previous version worked (ok an...
Given some of the stories on ethis forum (+ an apparent lack of fault detection knowledge via MG service people) I purchased the Vgate OBDII diagnostic reader (I think it was £30-40, amazon). My point is I can then read the diagnostics. So knowing something rather than be fobbed off. And yes...
