The granny charger is not intended for long term use only for emergencies or for topping up when say your visiting relatives who don't have a 7kw charger. I know some people regularly use the granny but MG don't recommend that.
I've just done that fix, didn't disconnect battery, carefully removed panel, with a long-nose pliers removed the top fuse (5amp) cleaned the two pins with clean cloth and reinsert, simple 5 min fix, thanks for the tip.
The reason for the charge is so the BMS can tell the scope of the battery pack, so I would charge in one go, it's only every 6 months so it won't break the bank.
Last week my mg4 reached the 80% I had the car set for,when I opened the car while still plugged there was a message on screen stating balance charging
Hi by not using battery heating in the winter will it damage the health of my battery, I never fast charge and do a round trip of 12 miles 5 days a week for work and I have never used the battery heating option, thanks.
Didn't have to download new app,I went into my original app tonight, accepted terms and conditions, I did forget my password so had to redo that but apart from that no problem
Just an update on my leak, turns out it was water from the air con, the patch of liquid was on the front of the driveway so from the front of car, all good so far.
