Trouble is the battery and the fob may have been manufactured some time ago and be nearly flat. Our MG5 came with only one fob from new. Had to wait for delivery from China then take car in to have it matched up. Seems there is a large box of these things in stock somewhere waiting for issue

Just to be safe, keep keys in a tin with a lid, blocks all rfid signals. I also have a steering wheel bar clamp as a visual deterrent. It may only be a humble MG but it's my investment/transport/pleasure vehicle and I have a great deal to lose if some light fingered moron takes a fancy to it

That's using the guessometer I assume. Mine does the same but the miles/kWh does not alter. Estimated range goes up when fan is off.

Saw the same a while ago in local supermarket petrol station. EV parked at pumps while driver was having lovely chat with a friend outside the supermarket. Plenty of ICE cars waiting but don't think they had realised it was an EV

May sound silly but if you press the lock/unlock icon on the fob for a few seconds it will open all windows, or close them if already open. Could be that the fob was compressed all night on one of the icons causing the problem

Read recently that because of the risk of fires in EVs and need to isolate them in recovery the premiums are going up. Speculation in USA that EVs may become uninsurable due to damage to battery packs and cost of replacement results in write off of hardly damaged but nearly new vehicles 😱😱

There are 3 MG5s in my area. I have fl trophy, other 2 are pfls used as taxis. Not been mistaken for one up to now

Maybe a stopgap answer but if you mute the radio from the steering wheel when you stop you wont notice the thing blaring away. Who leaves the car unlocked and unattended anyway 😱😱

I find opening the front windows about 2cm cures the problem. Can be chilly though. Any wider and rain drops inside the car
