I'm afraid the best solution is to use Carplay or Android Auto with a music player of your choice.

    Goodbye MG4 Trophy!

@Deakin I can certainly sympathise with your frustration, although we haven't had the problems you have. In defence of the MG, we are putting up with the software 'features'. It's a bit of a pain having a pre-flight checklist but we're not stopping and starting the car regularly so it's not too...

Can there ever be enough DC chargers?

I think you had it easy. My mother-in-law was a radiographer, starting in the late 1940s. An electric shock flung her to the other side of the room, much to the amusement of the consultant.

The great big insurance rip off

My 86 year old neighbour, with many years no claims, has managed to get insurance for £1300 for his Audi. The AA quoted him £3000 and Swinton £5000. When he expressed amazement he was told he would , 'Have to move with the times'.

Can there ever be enough DC chargers?

@DelBoy Other MG4 owners have reported problems with BP Pulse. It would be useful to know what problems have you had, for example with the app, contactless, disconnection, failure to connect? I've used Believ [sic] (7kW), SourceLondon (7kW), Shell (CCS) and GridServe (CCS). All were fine. I...

You CAN road trip an SE SR

Rolfe, you mention GeniePoint chargers in Halifax. In my experience and Trust Pilot reviews, they are unreliable. EDIT - I've just checked the recent Trust Pilot reviews - they are all one star! Looking at the BPPulse reviews, they are trying to get their act together.

    Nottingham to London and return

Thought some drivers might be interested in my weekend journey from Nottingham to Ealing, London and return. I went via the M1, A43 and M40, around 140 miles. To London, I used ACC for the first time and set it at 70mph. I found it very useful and didn't lose concentration as I thought I might...

Can there ever be enough DC chargers?

I suspect the range anxiety with steam engines concerned water more than coal. Long runs required a scoop to be lowered into a trough while at speed, with the water being forced into the tender.

My old Jazz had a battery similar the MG4's and the interior lights drained it overnight.

    USB C issue

What problems? Charging or using it as a music source? You must use a high speed lead (which I assume a USB-C lead is). Others have reported on this forum about the low power output of the USB-C socket. If you are charging, I would use the cigarette lighter with a USB-A adaptor, as webhiker...

I'm not sure the interior lights will turn off, if turned on manually. They will drain a battery overnight.

My windscreen washers work in the same way as yours. Yes, the infotainment system is full of 'interesting' features which take some getting used to. And they change when you think you've just about understood them. As you discovered, a co-pilot is very useful. My Guide may help, I think the...

    Boot size question

Can you provide the dimensions of the wheelchair? I presume it folds. Do the handles fold down and the foot rests come off? Do you take the wheels off? Could it fit behind the passenger seat?

    Boot size question

The parcel shelf is designed to be easily removed. With it removed, the wheelchair might fit in vertically. I can investigate further if required.

“Fast Charging” - at 3.6kW or less

3 phase cable is heavier but not too difficult to handle. I think that a 'destination' charger delivers up to 50kW AC but limited by the car usually to 7 or 11kW.. It may not have a tethered cable and is intended for charging when you have reached your destination and have the time to charge...
