I have found a touchup paint pen and some rubbing compound very usefull on the white paintwork. Also fitting a bumper protector will cover a multitude of misshaps.
The WLTP test is not designed to give real world results but as a comparison between vehicles. It is carried out under lab conditions. The skilled test driver maximises the range while keeping within the test spec. Been there, done that (but not that skilled).
The Summit 104 do fit ok, but do take a bit of time to set up. I have not tried the with a box just lengths of timber. When I last looked they where not available on amazon.
The car I traded in for the MG 5 Exite was a Citroen C3 Picasso. This suited me as it was easy to get in and out of the front and back which as you get older is a concern. I kept it for seven years. The MG 5 is a good bit longer and only just fits in my garage with the charging cable inserted...
The selection of stuff on this site looks interesting but the faff of paying for and then a considerable wait for delivery has put me off. I have instead got a pair of Summit 104 roof bars of Amazon. which will do for the odd IKEA run etc.
