    Which at home charger?

Ref Jollyman, I arranged an installation through my usual electrician. Subsequently found that all ev chargers have to be registered with the grid supplier. There is a form to fill in, but they were happy to have retrospective applications.

    Soh after 20k miles

Well my Gen1 car is 4 years old and 21000 miles, and still returns 165 miles GOM every time, except in depth of winter. So either the battery is in reasonable condition or MG have some way of eliminating any degradation from the calculation. Either way, it seems that battery condition is similar...

MG ZS Steering Fault - clicking when turning

This issue really should be investigated by MG and reported on. I still feel it could be a problem in manufacture whereby longitudinal pressure is being continuously applied through the steering column. If is a "bad batch" issue, the supplier should be changed or use a more severe checking regime.

    Soh after 20k miles

Although the U-tubes were interesting, they were very basic and general, and said little about how SOH is actually measured (if at all). The easiest approximation would be to have the software count the number of times the car was rapidly charged and to what extent, and apply a depreciation...

My turn! Vehicle Control System Fault

May be not relevant, but your charging current is very low. I would look to running a cable from the house to get 3kW charging. Otherwise, you could try moving to another repair garage?

    Soh after 20k miles

I wonder how the SOH calculation is made? Also, is it dependent on charge status at the time? Also, winter/summer? Or is it just another way to worry oneself?

    MG EV ZS 12volt battery

I had my own problems the other day when I had to be told to put my foot on the clutch to start a manual car! Just shows when I last drove one!

    1 week in

3.5 is a bit low, you should try to get about 4.0, or more. Maybe go slower, this makes a big difference. But the predictive range is called Guess-o-meter, for good reason.

    MG EV ZS 12volt battery

No, having to press the brake pedal is a useful safety feature. Otherwise any child or adult could initiate start without that intent.

getting air flow into the cabin without the fan operating?

Its only an issue if you are on a long trip. Around home I just treat aircon as for any other car and it works fine.

About to Purchase a pre loved ZS EV... however -

I expect you'll be fine. My car is exact same age and has done 22000 miles no problems except one door lock. You have not mentioned mileage at time of purchase? AA told me that all MG ZS remain on their list whether renewed or not - but I have not used them. I think I would transfer to a better...

Flood water damage resulting in full battery replacement

Andy L has a good point, could the water be from the battery heat/cool system? I am not familiar with the layout of the batteries or heat/cool system but it should be inveztigated.

Assuming you mean Gen1 models, then Yes, no and yes.

Long term storage effects on battery

I have three battery maintenance chargers from Halfords which work well. One led for mains on, and another that shows red for charging, and green for maintaining. They look like a plug-top and have a quick disconnect in-line plug so you can leave a permanent connection in place. I think they...

Flood water damage resulting in full battery replacement

Firstly, I am not a lawyer......! However, if you google "how to reject a car as not fit for purpose when it is owned by a leasing company " it does give some clear reasons why this is possible. You have already told the lease company that the car has not been flooded or driven through deep...

    Replacement parts

The bizarre thing is that for my MG TD (1950) I can get virtually very part in the car on next day delivery!

Road trip: Melbourne to Canberra in one day

well my mk 1 bought January 2020 now has 20,000 miles and I still expect 160miles range (say 260km) unless it’s really cold ambient. So full charge to start plus say 2 stops enroute (80%) to do 400 miles should be fine.

Road trip: Melbourne to Canberra in one day

I recall a forum member doing a 400 mile (650km approx) round trip in a day, so it should be possible. Obviously you need to research recharge points.

    Where to put the key?

The car can get very confused if you leave a key in the car for long periods. That happened with my car when it was in the bodyshop after an accident. After a while the car stopped responding to the key at all. The answer is to treat it as in real life. Eg, take the key WELL away from the car...
