Just got a reply from the customer experience manager at MG which includes this... 'The issue that you mention below does not leave the vehicle undriveable and does not impact the performance or functionality of the vehicle.'

My dealer has just called to say my car is ready to collect, they haven't heard of any embargo on releasing cars. Just waiting for statement from MG to decide if I proceed or cancel. Have also emailed some important MG people for some more info.

The reply was from a chap called Gary from the normal MG customer services email. It was a reply to an email I sent to anyone important I could find at MG uk, I did get a reply from the head of sales saying that customer services would be in touch.

It would be great but people with that type of job generally don’t want to talk to the people that pay their wages!!

Believe me it does get people to sit up and take notice. Customers simply should not have to put up with shoddy service
