Easiest way to turn the radio 'off' at start-up every time is to simply hit the mute button on the steering wheel audio panel. I haven't found any other way - and yes, it's a damned nuisance as the volume up and down keys are SO slow to react otherwise.

Thanks for that tip. I have now been able to raise the mirror so that I can also raise my driver seating position as I like to 'sit high' which I was unable to do with the mirror in the lower position as delivered. Great tip !
