Long range was given a weight rating and works well.
Seem to remember short range originally being no rating then later getting a 30kg rating. Hopefully someone will confirm for you.
Work shifts 2 days 2 nights 4 days off and commute 80miles return for each of those shifts. April may June was mostly solar only. Been a bit dismal the last couple of months though.
I thought it was the long range exclusive has 75kg roof weight limit. the standard range had a lower limit.
Good family car. Fits me the mrs the baby and the Labrador in and have done a few camping trips with it to. A squeeze compared to old van but deff manageable.
Some are deff a higher risk than others (but recalls on many of the supposedly better names) and maintenance can indeed reduce the risk. But still one of the highest risks in the home.

Mate got a Tesla just after I got my 5 and his has way more toys and it’s the quick one so silly fast but way less comfortable for commute.
And so far this year I have spent 380 hours in my car so I deff made the right choice.
I have my 1 yr old in with rear facing seat every day loads of room. Regularly have my 2yr old niece in back to. Regularly have large buggy and my Labrador in boot. Personally prefer the look of an estate over a hatchback and see hatchbacks as a silly compromise. But that’s prob more to do with...
