Useful update and a welcome indication that Vanarama are willing to meet customers half way. Time to do some comparisons (Lease, PCP, Vanarama, other providers etc..) to see if its still worth waiting or whether I'd prefer to pay a little extra and get something earlier.

I think the 'push' so to speak was artificial. There were a lot of electric car orders at the end of last year as people tried to take advantage of the grants. I imagine there were more orders than could be quickly fulfilled. But there was then, probably, a drop off. So chargers were installed...

There was someone on the Shipping Updates forum who said they'd cancelled and had the charger installed. I don't think they'd mentioned the charger and were just waiting to see what happens!

Got a call from Vanarama today. Was told 2 weeks ago that it had slipped to September (original delivery date was mid-March) having ordered in November. They're now saying between July and September, so that's a little more positive. I was offered to switch to a different car - Mokka, C4 or DS3...

Oh dear. Thats quite a delay. I think the Vanarama Ts & Cs will allow you to cancel if the delay is that long. on a separaate note... Why isn't this thread called 'Shipping Forecast'? Its bugging me that this was overlooked by whoever set this thread up originally! 😆
