Probably a little harsh, though have been told a number of times I shouldn't have an ev, tis a tad annoying, I do enjoy the car even though my closest charging station is 2 miles away, ok on a pleasant day, a walk through the glen with the dogs is nice, but when weather is foul even the dogs...

You would be surprised the amount of ev owners who can't charge at home me being one of them. I've been told that I shouldn't have one because no home charging, makes me wonder if its turning into an elitist thing owning an ev 🤔

Used mine in the rain with a tough leads extension, worked well. The extension was a waterproof one with a circuit protector thing, (can't remember what they are called ).

Def need a type 2 charging cable unless you dont mind paying the dc charging tariff. Where I live in Scotland, dc rapid charging is 70p/kw, ac charging via type2 cable is 40p/kw. I don't have home charging so most of my charging is type 2 at 40p.

Having no home charging I use public all the time, have an account with Chargeplace Scotland and a touch card. Works well for me

In answer to your worries about charging on the move, I have no home charging so use public charging all the time. Never had a problem

Farady pouch from amazon, less than a tenner, works well. Tried opening the doors with the keys in the pouch, they didnt.

Got mine don with Guardex by the dealer, best £200 I've spent. Had it done on my last 4 cars, never polished any of them. Works well.

I got a type2 and granny charger with my car. Use the type 2 all the time, dont have home charging so its a necessity.

I use public charging all the time (no home charging available ), its play it by ear, if its rapid I tend to work out the time it'll take, take the dog for a walk getting back in time to unplug it. If its ac charging, plug it in and leave it all day if wanting a balance charge or time it to get...
