Warning Chimes with no visual clue

Do these phantom chimes happen near speed cameras? There is a setting in the sat-nav to turn various warnings on and off.

    Jump start

Even if it's possible to do so I wouldn't. Apart from frying the electrics the MG4 only has a small 12v battery and probably hasn't enough power to start the motorhome anyway. The safest option is to get lithium starter pack. Not only will it start your motorhome safely but handy to keep in the...

Issue with AC charging/New CCU fitted (Phase One SE LR)

I agree but we are talking about a Chinese company and their attitude is that they will never admit anything is wrong or let anyone know that they are working on it. The solution will just appear. We might find that when the cars that are prone to this problem will have a new CCU fitted at...

    Upgrade of house main fuse

Like @Hairyfool said. The DNO needs to approve that the street supply can provide the extra load and next time the meter reader calls they will report back that the main fuse has been tampered with as the seal will be broken. Why not give them a call and ask how long you would need to wait for...

    Tar spatter

WD40 will also work but as you will more than likely have the same problem again why not get some proper tar remover? Autoglym's Intensive Tar according to their blurb, dissolves tar, oil, grease, silicone, wax, gum, tree sap, fuel stains and adhesive residues from paintwork and plastics and...

    Empty Screen Washer Tank Warning

I use the original tried and trusted method I've developed over many years of driving. Once a week I open the bonnet and top up the reservoir with washer fluid 😁

Issue with AC charging/New CCU fitted (Phase One SE LR)

Because MG have to approve and pay for any work the dealer does and software updates are the cheaper option if they work.

Anyone 'pepped their brake lights up' yet, as Vyvyan would say?

There will be loads of warning messages which will disappear when you start to drive it. The steering wheel will need turning lock to lock and the windows will need fully opening and the switch held in the open position for a few seconds and the same in the closed position.

Disconnect the 12V battery as that powers all the electrical systems. The main battery only powers the motor and charges the 12V battery.

MG4 Trophy Passenger Door Stopped working

Just had a call from the service department. They are still waiting for a new door handle as it's on backorder. I did have it booked in next Monday for it to be replaced and also for the software updates they ran out of time for when it was serviced the Thursday before Good Friday. At least...

Sending destination to car from App

Open MG iSmart app, tap centre bottom icon to show the map, in the search bar at the top type in where you want to go, if it shows the right destination tap the paper aeroplane icon at the bottom left of your screen. It'll say "sent to car." In the car swipe left on the home screen, tap User...

    Mg4 Windscreen Reflection Issue

Without being rude but how tall are you?. I'm over 6ft and don't have any reflection problems. Try wiping the top of the dash with a wet microfibre cloth to give it a matt finish just in case they sprayed it with a high gloss silicon polish when the dealer did the PDI.

Is there such a thing as an ev charger protector?

True but it does offer some protection from the rain on the top where the front and back join and stops the water running down between the wall and the casing. It also provides some shade in the summer when the sun is at it's hottest.

Is there such a thing as an ev charger protector?

I made this for my Zappi out of an old roofing slate and a couple of shelving brackets from Amazon bent to give a downward slope. The solar panel on top is for the Ring doorbell.

    E-Call function

On the MG4 you can change it on the infotainment screen but I see you have the MG ZS. Might have a better response if you ask on their forum instead of the general chat one 😁 https://www.mgevs.com/forums/mg-zs-ev-forum.2/

MG4 infotainment screen only shows MG

The home button is one of the physical buttons at the bottom of the infotainment screen. It's the one to the right of the hazard lights that looks like a house.
