A cosy battery can help by giving longer range and this seams to be proven as the weather gets warmer.
Exploding wee dollops of highly inflammable liquid in metal containers and arranging for the chimney to be routed under the battery should warm the latter up a treat
I love the “Cairn o’Mount” road between Fettercairn near Brechin and Banchory. It’s a real twister with steep inclines, hairpin bends and downright tricky bits, super road. There’s many places to catch out the unwary and screw up your gear changing skills with an ice car or prove time and time...
You’ll only waste that hard earned cash and come back in a rage saying that the dam stupid thing cost a fortune and has collected dust and has just been extra weight carted about in the car for absolutely no reason for all that time ………😡😱😡😱 ……..
…..Unless you need it one day / foul wet night...
Aye life was hard in those pioneering days but look at philosophically, we didn’t have waste all that power lighting up the world we’d already seen and could look forward to that extra 1.35mm of range 😏
Well it’s so hot (23 C) here in ballahuilish that I wanted an ice lolly and just as the lassie held it up to the reader all the power in the village went off. So they can’t blame my electric car for once - it was that dam orange lolly 😍
I’ve never had a matte finish paint but it’s fine on all other surfaces gloss paint, plastic, tyres, chrome and glass except for the windscreen.
There are matte specific cleaners which might be safer to find.
I’d never jump start off an ev 12 volt battery.
That’s why I carry the little “ pocket” jump start unit.
It’ll start my ev if required and easily jump start anything up to about 3 litre diesels.
It’s under the passenger seat and checked for charge two or three times a year. Never had to use...
Whatever cuts your grass I suppose 🤩
I’m guessing around a couple of metres wide cut so a couple of litres of the old heavy oil as the log books call it would last me quite a while 🤣.
I agree with all the above but I also couldn’t open the door of my 5LR.
As I finished my porridge some twit over the hedge started her lawn mower and since it was a beautiful day all the other mowers stirred and emerged from hibernation. So naturally if you can’t beat them join them. The garden...
Looking well organised there, well done. I’ve noticed the guys who convert small van based cars like the Berlingo etc always fit some easy way to open the tailgate as a potential emergency exit.
I’ve not taken it any further yet - I think I’ll just carry and pitch the wee tent as required.
You’ve not mentioned window blinds I don’t think. When I was travelling around I hung towels on bungee cords over the back doors and the back of the seats in my van. Most times however i just pitched a wee tent beside the van as I usually carried a fair bunch of spare parts, plumbing fittings...
