Mine is more like a dry bearing noise when coming off the power and goes as soon as you go into regen .Basically when free wheeling. Had this noise before on other drive trains which has been a bearing moving around in the casing or lack of oil feed, just waiting to see if it gets worse before...

Had mine upgraded last week to 100 amps free of charge by UK Power as my supplier is not allowed to change it .So I would not take distributors advise and get it checked as stated above they need to check incoming cable and spurs to fuse box etc

I think it is down to your lease company to deal with any problems regarding the car not being up to date .The comfort update as well as the others should have been done on your car if supplied after July.

I had the same problem according to my vin number the car was up to date luckily I new the workshop manager and got them to do the bms update ,now charging when unlocked 👍

This is where people have run down the 12v battery always have it in ready mode this keeps the main battery charging the 12v so you can have the radio heating etc on with no problems

Fuss over nothing ,I see he has not aloud comments on the video.I have traded in several cars over the years and never seen a salesman crawl under the car to check for rust ,as i really keep a car very long I am not bothered by these videos more like sour grapes to me.

Same for me too saved £100 on insurance +£150 road tax will pay for my charging for 6 months +.

At the moment I am getting by with granny charger and free chargers at Tesco's etc, as I also do low mileage these days ,but I will still get a quote on a 7kw charger just to find out how much and then decide whether it is worth it.

I only went to dealer because of charging issue would have waited until service date as totally happy with car.

According to my chassis number the update was not required but they did it anyway and as I said it cured my problem.When I was working in the trade updates got sent out reference the chassis number but we had to do so many it could only be done alphabetically otherwise you ended up with...

Just come back from my MG dealer they said my car does not need BMS update ,but they did it anyway .I can now charge car unlocked so suggest you insist they carry out this update to cure your problem.

Can you charge the car unlocked ?? I will be watching this one as I have been told my car is up to date (70 Plate) .But I do not think it has had the BMS update as I can only charge car when locked.You should be able to unlock car and charging should resume .Tried on granny ,and 7kw charger but...
