    Home charger and main fuse

Just like @Lovemyev , my 32A Rolec was installed in 2015, on a 60A fuse. And I also managed to blow it. At the time we were running a lot of appliances (washing machine, tumble dryer, oven, tv, lights, Vivarium etc.) Then after daughter had been in shower (9kW) for a couple of minutes, poof...

Making my dumb Rolec charger a smart one for under £20

I'm now well into these Shelly devices off the back of the Shelly1 that I installed into my Rolec. Making my dumb Rolec charger a smart one for under £20

I just spent the last few hours fitting a Shelley 1 to my dumb 6-year-old Rolec. Piece of cake, although getting the Shelley configured to my Wi-Fi did not go according to plan by following their instructions. I had to use the built-in web server and configure it manually. I didn't require the...

Driving an EV with both feet!

I too have been a left braker since my first automatic - a Ford Cortina 1.6GL (Mk5). Funny thing is, I do not make any conscious effort to use a particular foot, but even on the same journey I will be using both feet to brake (not simultaneously!), sometimes my left, sometimes my right. I can...
